Afternoon Sunday Coaching: So, what are you proud of?

Meeting weekly with Ami (Amee) has been one of the best decisions I have made recently.  Not that I have made a lot of poor choices; it is just that this has been a great decision and amazing experience! I’m sure Ami would say, “Ami-zing!”
Through our weekly coaching sessions, we discuss both, our long term and short term goals.
The crazy thing is that we are both compulsive list makers and create lotssss of lists! So, it is easy to get caught up into making lists, but not necessarily crossing off anything from the list. Can you relate?
Therefore, meeting weekly keeps us accountable for what we say we are going to do.

In between discussing the previous week and the upcoming week, we discuss our challenges. Furthermore, we offer each other personal insight as to what could help the situation because – let’s be real. Many of these goals are not “quick fix goals” that are “wham-bam” completed in one week.

So, offering solutions to each other help keep us on track and crossing off things from the lists.

After this particular session was complete, I thought more into my personal, weekly accomplishments. I was satisfied with the fact that, yes, I got things crossed off the list such as blog posts, metaphysics research, meal prep, laundry, yadda, yadda.

But, what did I do that was heart soothing for me?

Well, let me show you!

I attached a small, index card to the inside of my son’s school binder, so that when he started his day, he would know that he was loved and thought about.
Now, this was not on my list of things to do, yet it was the most special moment of the week for me!
When I picked my son up from school, he was smiling ear to ear. He said, “Mom, I was so embarrassed when that note fell out. But, it made me so happy. While making goal lists are great and checking things off are even greater, there are other accomplishments floating out there that mean so much more!

So, what are you proud of?
