Nothing in the world can measure up to what Dads mean to us. No amount of money or gift can replace all the moments they had caught you on the verge of falling or all the times they threw you up high in the sky and held you when you were sad or even the moments he had to spend his last coin to get you candy. It is true nothing can take the place of such immense sacrifices.
However, a little token of appreciation is long overdue – you owe him one – not so much.
Men are generally inexpressive in nature unlike women and this limits your guesses of what you can gift them. However, you could consider their interests, which will largely inform your gifting process. You could consider:
- His hobbies – consider what he loves to do during his free time or what makes him happy. Find a present related to that thing. This could be a golf stick if he adores golf etc.
- His dream possession – You need to have been keen about what he rants about owning one day; is it a specific model of a car, house, or pair of sneakers? Gifting him is about making his wishes come true.
- What he lacks is essential – Indeed, dads care so much for others they forget about themselves. He may hardly have anything for a new pair of dress shoes or a fresh coat. Looking at this may direct you to something he may need. If he’s keen on his car’s upkeep, consider buying him car touch up paint. This is ideal for fixing minor scratches or chips in his vehicle’s paintwork.
After putting these key considerations in mind, what then can you get your Dad as a gift for Father’s Day?
A pair of footwear
Your dad may have worn out shoes or sneakers or sandals, or if you know he has been eyeing a pair of kicks, it’ll be prudent to get him something he has always wanted for his feet.

If he is a lover of coffee, get him a nicely done mug designed to his liking with his picture or his name or favorite slogan.
If he loves his wine, a beautiful wine cabinet or wine holder or a fine bottle of his favorite wine alone will do for a present.
Date night
Organize a date night for him. It could be with him alone or with family. A night out will mean a lot to him, as there is a chance he has been the one taking you guys on dates his whole life. It will come out as a good gesture. Take him to his favorite restaurant or a new exquisite place that serves his favorite meals.
Body treatments
Who says dads cannot get a wonderful calming session at the massage parlor or a hot steaming session in the sauna. Or just a great spa day which can prove to be very beneficial, men granted they get the right spa treatments.
How about a manicure, pedicure, and facial? Try this, and you will be his favorite.
Tickets for a game
Is your dad a sucker for football or basketball or even tennis? Is there a game around Feathers day? Get him a ticket at www.etsy.com here you can access tickets for any upcoming games; probably get him a VIP seat, and a jersey to go with it. It should be the most memorable.
Most dads are easy to impress, and something easy and simple that makes them happy is all they need; you might even consider coming home and spending time with him; it means a lot to him. Make this day count for him.
