Luckily, whether you want to take fun photos of your trip from up high, or simply want to marvel at the scope of Big Apple sights, there are plenty of impressive views to enjoy across the city. In this article, we’ll consider the ones you might want to include on your NYC trip to-do list.
# 1 – A Room With a View
Start your NYC trip by booking one of the iconic hotels that offer the best views of the city. With inner-city locations and often floor-to-ceiling windows, hotels like The Langham on Fifth Avenue could even see you staring straight out at the Empire State Building throughout your stay.
Equally, if you prefer a more panoramic view, the famed Arlo Hotel with pool in Brooklyn NY also boasts floor-to-ceiling windows in its rooms, as well as an amazing 40-foot-long heated rooftop pool that looks out on the Brooklyn skyline. These options quite literally put some of the best Big Apple views at the heart of your trip, and there are no better ways to enjoy the city in style.
# 2 – Visit the Icons
New York City has some great iconic locations worth a visit for the sake of the views they offer, including:
- Empire State Building: The Empire State Building observation deck has been drawing crowds of keen photographers since the 1930s, and is a great place to see the finest skyline in NYC.
- The Brooklyn Bridge: As if the 19th-century architecture of the Brooklyn Bridge wasn’t impressive enough, visitors here can also enjoy expansive views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the harbor.
- One World Observatory: Ride high-speed elevators to floors 100-102 of One World Trade Centre and enjoy panoramic views from 1,250 above NYC’s streets.
# 3 – Down on the Ground
There are also plenty of great views to enjoy down on the ground. New York City has some especially great green spaces including, of course, Manhattan’s impressive 843-acre Central Park. Here, you can enjoy ponds, lakes, fountains, and more.
You can also find other ground great-level views at locations like Time Out Market, where you’ll find yourself eating, drinking, and admiring the sights from between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. Or, if it’s an NYC sunset you’re seeking, head to Valentino Pier, where you’ll be able to watch the sun setting to the backdrop of sights including the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island, and New York Harbor.
There are views galore to enjoy in The Big Apple. So, cut to the core of your trip by making time to visit these top viewing spots during your visit.
