Here’s How I Get Paid: Affiliate Programs

Today I’m sharing a post for my newbie and or future bloggers. I’ve been asked multiple times about what platforms that I use for affiliate partnerships, as well as for campaigns. So, in this brief post, I’m sharing multiple affiliate programs that I am a part of, as well as four platforms that I use for campaign creation. I hope this post answers the question of, “How do you get paid from blogging?”

Quick Disclaimer

But, before I jump into each of the programs and platforms, I want to share a quick disclaimer. This post does contain affiliate links. In addition to this, I only partner with companies that are an authentic fit to who I am and the lifestyle that we live.

Additionally, anytime that I use an affiliate link and share it, it is because I actually use the product or service and wholeheartedly believe in it. I do not promote companies that are not in alignment with who I am.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Next, I want to briefly share what affiliate marketing is. According to Investopedia, here is the definition. “Affiliate marketing is an advertising model in which a company pays others (e.g. bloggers) to advertise their products and services and generate sales.

Affiliates place ads or market the products or services on their website, app, or blog. Commissions are paid on leads that convert to sales”.

With this information in mind, below are the 15 affiliate programs that I belong to. The commissions vary on each. Some pay more than others.

If you are interested in checking out the affiliate program, visit the site and search “Affiliate Program”.

I personally believe that affiliate marketing is a great way to earn extra income if you already use the product and love it. If the product or service is nothing that is in alignment with your authentic lifestyle, it may not be the best use of time. But, that’s from a personal perspective.

Examples of Affiliate Partnerships

For example, every month I share a new Femme Luxe haul, therefore I clearly believe in the brand, therefore it makes sense for me to be a Femme Luxe affiliate

Another example is Mindvalley. In 2019, I took the Mindvalley Lifebook Free Masterclass out of curiosity. It was a free course that claimed to help you create your ideal life. I took the course, loved it, and later became an affiliate simply because I believe the program has value. In fact, I’ve been living my life according to my Lifebook from 2019.

Read more about my Lifebook journey here on the blog.

My final example is Modern Fertility. When we lost A’leigh, I was left broken-hearted with no answers. I had no idea where to turn. While scrolling Instagram one day, the ad popped up about testing your hormones and fertility. I made a note in my phone notes to purchase the test the following month.

However, with me being in complete alignment, the partnership formed before I ordered it and I was able to test my fertility. The process was easy and I appreciated my results dashboard, therefore it only made sense for me to be an affiliate. That test helped me to understand where I sat with my fertility and reassured me that my time would come.

These are three examples of how I have become affiliates with various brands and companies. Other affiliate partnerships are and were the result of either shopping at a place consistently like Walmart or Amazon or being a subscribed customer.

For example, our rental insurance is through Lemonade and has been for at least five years. I also sell a lot of clothes on Thred Up when I’ve already taken enough to Goodwill. I also have real estate investments through Fundrise.

More Affiliate Programs to Consider

While I have listed quite a few, there are still a handful more to mention. Below is the rest of the list.

Travel – Let’s Roam Scavenger Hunts

Gifts – Precious Moments Holiday Campaign and Enjoy Flowers

Home – Nolah Mattresses amd Instacart

Health  – Smile Brilliant, LARQ, and Reshape Me App and Gummies

Platforms for Paid Campaigns

Since we have covered affiliate marketing in great detail, I want to mention platforms that offer paid campaigns very briefly. Below are four that I use on a regular basis.

Final Thoughts

For those of you who have asked me questions on how I work my blog, this explains how I work with various brands or companies, but I also write a lot of posts that are not sponsored in any way at all – as it should be.

My hope is that this post gave you a peek into affiliate marketing and paid campaigns, and also answered some of the questions I get in regard to, ‘How do you get paid on your blog?”

Again, this post does contain affiliate links.
