What I’m Doing Now 11.11.20

Happy Wednesday and Veterans Day!

First, I want to just say, thank you to all those who have served. My dad was a really huge advocate for veterans and Veterans Day.

So, please take some time and check out a post that I recently ran again in honor of him and all veterans.

It can be found here, 3 Easy Things to Do for Veterans Day with Your Family.

Weight! What’s the wait?

Now, I want to talk about some changes that I’ve just made and feel good! It’s weight, y’all. Last month was not a great month for me. I’m just going to keep it honest. I was tired. My energy zapped. I was overwhelmed. And, it all resulted in some nasty weight gain.

As much as I don’t want to say and claim that it was borderline anxiety and depression, I have to surrender and claim what is. And, so it was.

Once November came, I realized the damage that I had done to myself. I noticed the weight gain (11 pounds) and the brittle, dry hair, (yikes) and decided that I must make a change immediately and not wait until the New Year – like we often do.

Nope!

I decided to take control and make immediate changes. Here’s what I’m working on, just in case others are on the same battlefield as me and want to make some changes.

First, I got honest with myself and acknowledged my challenges. I read some information from this website and others, and also talked to a friend and my brother. All of which was very helpful and I appreciate them a great deal for listening without judgement.

V Shred or Noom?

Next, I scoured the web for a healthy weight loss plan that I would actually stick to. For a while I had been considering the Extreme Fat Loss program from V Shred for women. But after watching a ton of YouTube reviews and internet reviews, I decided to not do it.

As I was reading one of the internet reviews of V Shred, it compared some healthier programs to consider, with one being Noom and a free 14 day trial.

So, I jumped on the Noom wagon.

It wasn’t only because of what was in the review, but also because I have seen a lot of Instagram ads this year and had once considered it. Right now, I’m still in the trial period, but am 95% sure, I’m going to purchase the six month program because I already love it. I’ll link to it if I move forward with the purchase.

Although I am still in the trial period, I did purchase an add-on, which was a weight loss DNA kit. I’m curious to learn more about my body in regards to weight loss. Originally the kit was around $100, but the special was about $30.

I took the plunge and bought it because I only want to do this whole weight loss thing one more time. This time and never ever again. Who else can relate?

Anywho, if you’re interested in some progres updates, leave a comment and let me know to keep the blog updated with progress.

Gifts, Gifts, and More Gifts!

Lastly, I’ve been sharing affordable Christmas gifts on the blog as many people are starting to crawl the web for gift ideas. I honestly like gift ideas and reviews – which is why I share them. I’m also curious about unique gift items that are affordable and thoughtful.

Feel free to view many of the gift ideas here.

In addition to general gift ideas, I want to make mention of jewelry. I’ve posted a lot of mentions of jewelry lately mostly because I love pearls and jewelry, but also because some of the most memorable gifts from family members to me have been simple and beautiful jewelry.

If this speaks to you, I’m leaving two jewelry websites below that I’ve been all over lately.

https://lapiazzastore.com

https://pearlylustre.com

For those that are interested in shopping Pearly Lustre, please use my code (JUSTBRENNONBLOG1) to save 50% off your first order.

I do want to be clear, though.

This code is only good for 50% off your first purchase using this link.

Final Thoughts

Well, I think this about sums it up. I’m going to spend the rest of my lunch hour doing a walk and then work on my vision board for 2021.

I’ll be sure to post an update about Noom next week. Also, feel free to let me know if there is something in particular you’d like me to share or blog about.
