Uncork Illinois 2014 – Oak Park Wine Festival

Downtown Oak Park has just started hosting an annual wine festival. 2014 makes our second year attending and I am always so pleased with the outcome.

According to Uncork Illinois, “Wine aficionados have a unique opportunity to sample over 150 wines from more than 15 local wineries and taste locally-produced artisan foods at Downtown Oak Park’s annual Uncork Illinois event”.

Summer is a State of Mind

Each time we have been, the experiences live on in my mind and heart; sunny days, good friends, magnificent wine, kale burgers, kids playing in water fountains, Cold Stone ice cream, and a great band.

While the pictures don’t capture every moment, there were certainly some beautiful moments. In a small, little fountain a few feet from a live band, little children danced and hoped through the water, splashing around with bare feet.  This was so precious!

Cheers to Uncork Illinois!

The sun was shining bright while people gathered in groups around various winery tents to taste their specialty wines and slushies. Women walked effortlessly in their beautiful sundresses flowing with the breeze.  Guys sat in groups near the band chatting and laughing.  It was all so relaxing and enjoyable.

Cheers to Uncork Illinois! we’ll surely be back, again!
