A few posts ago, I shared how I made our DIY Vacation Smashbook and how I had full intentions on creating one for our winter break. Well, the idea of creating a new one, still sounds awesome. Kinda.
Okay. Not really. It doesn’t. It sounds like a lot of work that I don’t really feel like doing. Only because, I am over 2016. It’s gone. It’s over. It’s done with and I want to move on.
Nothing bad happened. It’s just that, I am excited for our 2017 plans, goals, and adventures. So, why keep babysitting the idea of another 2016 album when we can begin creating new memories for a new album?! Ya know?!
But, because, I truly did (and do) want to share some of our photos from 2016, I decided to sit down, chill out by the tree (because I am not ready to take it down yet), listen to Adele, and snap some pics from our 2016 Big Book.
The Big Book is what I purchased at the beginning of 2016 and made an oath to capture as many memories throughout the year as I could and quickly slide them into the album before the mood slipped away. Ummm, like with the winter vacation smashbook.
So many times, we get caught up into what we plan on doing and never really get around to any of what we actually set out to do. So, to avoid that, our captured memories were immediately printed using the Free Prints and Pictarine app, or Walgreens One Hour Photo, so that I could just put them into the album. When I felt a wee bit creative, I just went in and added labels with my label maker or a few stickers. Easy peasy with no memories left behind.
So, go ahead, check out some of our captured memories; my Kentucky Derby birthday party, camping, soccer tailgating, vacationing in Kentucky, lounging around the house, and so much more!
