Adorable Mini Owl Planter Herb Garden

Last year, I spent a considerable amount of time planning and working diligently on my backyard container garden. I invested in the cutest planters of various sizes, a variety of seeds, as well as bags of soil to grow the perfect summer container garden. Things didn’t grow as planned, and all we were actually able to eat was the tomatoes and herbs; mainly the cilantro.

Although, a little disappointed, I decided not to have a container garden, but to focus on a mini herb garden. So, when I lucked up and found these adorable mini owl planters with a bonus watering bottle, I knew I had found just what I needed.

Upgraded Version

This mini owl planter set is an upgrade of the basic version. The upgraded version includes six owl planters, one watering bottle and 6 mesh screens. However, there is also a Pro Version which includes additional accessories like bamboo trays and transplanting tools to make your potting experience even more fun and easier.

While the extra accessories do look like lots of fun, this upgraded version is perfect for me. In the original description of the product it is noted that these planters are ideal for succulents, I agree. They also work well with small flowers and plants which is why I am excited to begin my mini herb garden in them.

With six planters, I plan to grow two planters of cilantro, two planters of basil, chives, oregano, and sage. We use quite a bit of cilantro and basil around here, so growing two sounds more appropriate for our household needs.

What to Expect

The six owl planters are handmade with high quality durable ceramic and detailed designs. In addition, there is a drainage hole at the bottom of each planter covered by the mesh filter, which allows water to escape to avoid soaking the plants roots. Lastly, the  watering bottle has a long nozzle design, which allows you to reach the hard-to-get-to areas, water the plants roots only and keep water off leaves.

The owls vary in measurements, but come in the following three sizes.

  • 2.36 (top diameter) x 1.57 (bottom diameter) x 2.16 (height) inches
  • 1.97 (top diameter) x 1.38 (bottom diameter) x 2.16 (height) inches
  • 2.36 (top diameter) x 1.57 (bottom diameter) x 1.97 (height) inches

Final Thoughts

Having only these six planters of herbs to tend to is a lot less stressful that a whole container garden to worry about. I can’t wait to begin growing our own herbs indoors in our own adorable mini owl planter herb garden.
