Just like the many attractions we travel to – there are peak seasons and off-peak seasons. Blogging is no different. There are times when your views will soar through the roof. But, there are also times when things are slow and people just aren’t reading what you have to say.

But, that’s okay, because the first thing that you have to learn in the blogging world is that giving up is one of the worst thing that you can do.

But, what you can do is take some time out from posting a new post and sit down and educate yourself on how to attract more readers to your blog such as read a social media agency blog to learn about the trends across social media right now.

You can also start to learn how to aim your posts to the right audience so that the people that you are writing for will actually click on your posts. The world is currently in an information overload. More and more people are using social media and blogs to get their point across, and you don’t have to get lost among them!

It’s 100% possible to build a highly successful blog and with the three tips you will read below, as well as get that loyal readership that you’ve been striving for.

Tip #1

When you are posting, you have to do it just enough to garner attention. Not too much, not too little – it’s got to be just right. Try not to post on your blog more than once or twice a day and try not to post less than three times a week. People need to see that you are active enough to want to visit, and if you don’t post enough you will fall off their radar. If you post too much, you become annoying. It’s all about balance.

For me, I use an editorial calendar, but sometimes, I get ideas about others things and go ahead and work them in. Sometimes, there are days when I post 2-3 times a day (like today), but I don’t post daily because I want to give us both a break!

Tip #2

Blogging is all about opinion, but it’s not about word vomit. Rambling on and on in your blog post is not going to get you a loyal reader base. People are just going to get annoyed.

Did you know that most people who follow and read blogs are doing it on their commute and don’t have time to read long posts that reach over a thousand words?

Be smart. Keep it short enough to capture attention, but meaty enough with info. that people want to keep reading.

Tip #3

Your opinion has to build the chance to discuss. You want to write a post that encourages the reader to comment. The more comments that you get, the more you get a chance to engage and build your popularity.

In Summary

A blog is a livejournal that you are sharing with the world; make yours full of clicks and bring in the readers that you are aiming for by taking advantage of using the three tips listed above!

Cheers! Let’s get to attracting new readers!
