Bump Update: Week 31: Aches, Pains & Gratitude

I’m back with another weekly pregnancy pump update! In this post, we are taking a dive into what went on during Week 31 of this pregnancy journey. In a nutshell, it can be summed up with aches and pains, a lot of gratitude for the life that is being created, receiving my Prego Expo swag bag, and junk journaling.

Not only am I creating one for the month of July, but I have recently put together multiple junk journal kits on my Etsy Shop with hopes to inspire others to create some kind of memory-keeping journal over the summer.

Gratitude

To begin, I want to just give gratitude for the life that is being created within in and also the life that we are creating for our family. It’s been a long and bumpy road, but I am so grateful for how far we have come. Although there are still some bumpy areas, there is so much more good than not – and for that, I am forever grateful.

Aches & Pains

As of recently, I’ve been slowing down a whole lot more than usual. My body is always aching from carrying this pregnancy. In the beginning, I was set on having a smooth and beautiful pregnancy. While a lot of it has been something like that, these last weeks are anything but smooth and beautiful. Haha.

Some mornings it takes me forever to get out of bed or to put my makeup on all the way. Talk about half-assing!

Parking in the parking lot at work and making the journey upstairs is also rough. Hell, just trekking to the restroom is rough.

My ideal vision of what this pregnancy would look like is just not what it is. But, that’s okay. I am accepting it for all that it is with the goal of simply delivering a safe and healthy baby girl.

Prego Expo Swag Bag Arrived

And, when baby girl arrives, she will be welcomed with so many goodies, especially from the Prego Expo! The swag bag arrived and contained so many full-size and practical baby items such as bottles, pacifiers, hand sanitizer, a swaddle, a toddler plate, a cup, and bowl set, etc.

There were also several full-size items for mom in there such as vitamins, immune boosters, Prego Pops, etc. I’m very grateful to have participated in the expo and to have also received such a nice swag bag.

Over the coming week, I’ll make a dedicated post strictly about the Prego Expo swag bag, so that you can see what’s in the bag should you decide to attend in the future – whether it be in person on virtually.

Junk Journal

Lastly, I’ve created a July junk journal with a gifted junk journal from an Instagram friend. She gifted it to me during the pandemic and I just wasn’t ready to use it. And, then when July came, I decided now was the time to create a junk journal.

My goal is to note something in it every day and have it filled by the end of the month. It’s already coming along rather nicely, although I do not document every single day. It’s more like, every few days – which is okay, too.

If you are considering doing some junk journaling, please check out my Etsy Shop, I recently added multiple junk journal kits with free shipping. Simply sort by most recent. The hope is to inspire others to document their summer, as well.

Final Thoughts

Well, there you have it! A bit about the happenings in Week 31! Week 32 has some interesting and fun happenings, so I’m looking forward to sharing that soon, as well!
