Bump Update: Week 32: Nesting? Or, Just Getting Things Done!?

Was this week considered nesting or was I just simply getting things done? I think it was a matter of just getting things done because there was no huge burst of energy to do anything. I just dragged myself along to get things done that needed to be done.

It Works! Audiobook (Change Your Life, Law of Attraction)

First, I want to say that lately, I haven’t been listening to my daily motivational podcasts on my drive to work. Really I’ve just been riding in silence trying o get myself together to move through another day. My body is getting heavy and getting up so early is simply a challenge.

However, one morning, as I opened up Youtube, the first video that popped up was the It Works! Audiobook. When it popped up, I knew I had to listen to it because it had been mentioned on a podcast that I listened to some time ago – only I never made it around to listen to it. This week, I’m happy to report that I did.

It’s an earlier version of The Secret and only takes about 20 minutes to listen to. So, if you are interested, check it out on YouTube: It Works! Audiobook.

More Quality Time with the Boys

Another thing that I set my eyes upon during this week was to spend quality time with the boys, and I did. My youngest and I went to watch the recent Thor movie at the movie theater and also had breakfast at Starbucks since it was so early in the morning!

Yes, we caught the 10:40 am movie! But, I appreciated the early movie because it allowed me time to get back home and relax.

My oldest son and I had lunch together and went shopping for things that he needed. With him being a teen, he’s not into spending too much time together. A little bit is fine and then he’s ready to do his own thing.

Solo Date (Planetarium and Mexican Faire)

Speaking of taking the boys out, I treated myself to an evening solo. I went and ordered some Mexican takeout and sat in the parking lot of the planetarium and enjoyed it while listening to some music hits from the 90’s.

By the time, I was finishing up, it was about time for the planetarium show to begin. It was nice to have the opportunity to go because I’ve had it on my calendar every month and hadn’t been able to make it until now. It was perfect for a solo date out.

32-Week Ultrasound and Deciding on a Pediatrician

Now, that we’ve covered some other happenings, let’s jump into the baby happenings – what this post is really about.

So, I had my 32 week ultrasound and I was so excited to have it done because I haven’t gotten a peek at her since about week 24 or so. So, it was nice to see her growing and developing well, as well as seeing her cute chubby cheeks, lips, and nose.

In addition to this, I decided to make time and switch pediatricians for all the children and get things set up. So, I’m happy knowing that they all now have the same pediatrician, and things are moving smoothly and in order.

Car Seat and Stroller Combo: It’s Pink!

Finally, the order was placed to get the car seat and stroller combination from Amazon. It’s been sitting in my Amazon Baby Registry for several weeks now but is finally assembled and in our home just waiting for the day that our little ladybug arrives healthy and safe.

What I love about this jogger set is that it is very similar to the Jeep jogger stroller that I had with my youngest son. I loved that set, especially the stroller. It was perfect for traveling, going to the beach (see above), etc. When I went to order it again, it was no longer being manufactured. Luckily I came across a very similar set that was also in pink, making it the perfect stroller set for us.

I’m sure you will see a lot of it on the blog once she arrives and we get to moving around doing things.

Final Thoughts

For the most part, that’s pretty much the rundown of how week 32 played out. Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing all the deets from week 33 soon, including birthday shopping for my youngest son, the baby shower from work, some surprise gifts, and the final centering pregnancy class.

Not to mention a quick chat about our portable Newair air conditioner and how that’s working, as well as a new ultrasound. That sounds like a lot for one week, but it’s how things are rolling.
