This past Friday, a past co-worker and friend of mine invited me to meet her at Sleepy Creek Vineyards for some long, overdue girl time, plus it was “Wieners & Wine” night where hot dogs and fixings are provided free of charge, as long as you purchase your own wine.
Three Amigos
Our favorite wine from Sleepy Creek is the Three Amigos. According to Sleepy Creek, “It’s Grape juice with a kick. A sweet, jam-packed red wine made from Concord & Marcheal Foch and Frontenac. Our best seller! You won’t want to share with your friends so buy two for you and one for them.”

Sleepy Creek Vineyards in located in Fairmount, IL., about 20 miles in between the both of us.
We love being able to just relax, unwind, and chat. But, we also love a great wine and make it our duty to visit local wine festivals. Sleepy Creek is actually one of our favorites and also one of the vineyards that are set up during the Oak Park Wine Festival in Oak Park, Illinois.
On this particular Friday, the weather was extremely beautiful. We walked the vineyard, had a few drinks, roasted ( I mean, burnt) some hotdogs, and really enjoyed our time together. I could not have asked for a better Friday evening.
