Happy National Relaxation Day!
With me chatting so much about self-care lately, you know I couldn’t pass this day up!
So, in honor of this amazing day, I want to share with you my recent visit to the beautiful Arboretum and 5 Thoughts of Gratitude.
But, first, a quick bit about this day. The purpose of National Relaxation Day is to simply take your time to slow down, unwind, and relax! The day is observed every year on August 15th.
One of the biggest things I enjoy doing when I want to relax is spending time outdoors; usually camping or swinging in my hammock. But, now that I have discovered the Arboretum, I think I’ll be spending more time there, especially within the Idea Garden at the Meditation Station.
The University of Illinois Arboretum is located at 1800 S. Lincoln Ave. in Urbana, Illinois and was developed in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Several garden collections are located on the spacious 160 acres of the University’s south campus.
While I only spent time in the Idea Garden, I have every intention to make my way to further explore each of the garden collections there.
In the meantime, I want to share with you my 5 Thoughts of Gratitude.
In this very moment, what are you thankful for?
- I am thankful that I am continuing to learn to slow down, focus, and relax.
- I am thankful for being able to spend quality time with old friends and family.
- I am thankful for my new blog partnerships this week.
- I am thankful for my healthy and mannerable boys.
- I am thankful that my son had a wonderful 7th birthday.
So, what are you thankful for and how do you plan to spend your day of relaxation?
