I can’t believe I have been MIA for so long! I took the last two and a half weeks off to relax, enjoy time with family, and read a few good books. I also took some time to think about 2014 and what all I accomplished, as well as visualized 2015.
Both, my short-term and long-term goals have already been put into place (long ago), so really, they just need to be tweaked a little!
So, let’s have a look back at 2014, shall we?!
First, my mom has been there for everything! I appreciate her so much!
January
I started a new position using my most recent degree. And, guess what? Today is my official one year work-i-versary! Yayy! My goal once I moved from Virginia was to get settled and stable and I am proud to say that I have accomplished that. Now, it’s just time to upgrade a bit. —-Oh, and it was my birthday!
February
I finally got my new Pink Pentax KR. The Pentax KR has been a journey from learning how to work it – to getting the body replaced. But, I am proud to say that I love it!
March
I was featured in a local newspaper called Progressive Black. It was definitely a highlight for me. And, the picture was so big! — It was also my first time on a cruise ship. Yep, that’s right! I enjoyed good music and eats during the St. Patrick’s Day Cruise at Chicago’s Navy Pier!
April
Many years ago, one of my goals before I died was to take Johnathan to Legoland! Yep, and in April, I took both of my boys! Pure awesomeness! While, we were there, we were also able to spend time with my dad and brother. That’s always great because we don’t see each other often.
May
In May, I walked in commencement which made feel like I actually graduated and earned those degrees. Do you know that even with three degrees, I never took the time out to walk across the stage and actually receive my degree? Nope, by the time I finished each time, I was just like, “Just send it to me.” That’s sad.
June
Oak Park Wine Festival with my friends. Fun! Fun! Fun!
July
I spent a week in Florida for some professional development and tried oysters for the first time! We also took a road trip to West Virginia for my Great Aunt Ruth’s 91st Birthday Celebration! Amazing-ness!
August
My baby turned four! I am so thankful to have friends and family that support us.
September
My niece was born healthy and adorable in September, and my girlfriends and I had an amazing Girls Night In!
October
I conducted my first Vision Board Workshop!
November
My oldest son turned nine! Again, I am so happy to have family and friends who support us. Oh, and he had an awesome Nerf Gun Birthday Party!
December
Two and a half weeks off for vacation to just relax!
Cheers to 2014 and Hello to 2015!
What do you have planned for 2015?
