Keep Showing Up for Your Relationship | Bible Study

From time to time, I like to mix things up a bit in my life, as well as on the blog. So, one thing that I committed to do for the month of April was to cross something off my list from the Bending Reality Masterclass with Vishen Lakhiani that I took last month. In that course, you learn an interesting exercise to help you achieve your desired reality.

Achieve Your Desired Reality

The exercise consists of writing out a list of three things which include the following:

Experiences you want to have. Things that you need to do to evolve into the person you want to become. And, contributions you would like to make to the word.

Well, one thing that I know I could benefit from is taking a course geared towards having and sustaining a happy and healthy relationship/marriage that I listed back in 2014. Just so happens, Proverbs 31 Ministries was beginning their Keep Showing Up, five week, online bible study beginning April 1st.

I immediately registered.

What is Proverbs 31 Ministries?

Proverbs 31 Ministries offers online bible study courses free of charge. However, it is encouraged that you buy the book, Keep Showing Up by Karen Ehman that goes along with the study to be successful – which I did. Thankfully, my book arrived on April 1st, right in time for me to start reading and following along with the activities and discussions on the blog.

Feel free to purchase the book through Amazon using my affiliate link.

Moving Forward

So, yesterday, I printed my Week at a Glance which shows everything for each week and also read Chapter 1 and watched the introductory video. And, let me tell you this.

I have already had several “ah-ha” moments.

To keep track of my thoughts and notes throughout this course, I’ve also been keeping a journal. I already like referring back to it to read through my thoughts as I progress through the book.

What I Appreciate So Far

The other thing that I appreciate about this particular book and course is that – it is meant for an audience of one (meaning yourself, or me). It is not meant to be a “couple’s thing” and enforce change upon your partner.

It is designed for you to take personal accountability and responsibility in your own relationship/marriage. It is about changing our own perspective and making changes in what we can do – not the other person.

Final Thoughts

Well, I just wanted to give you a peek into what’s new for April. Once, the entire five weeks are complete, I do plan to do a follow-up post. However, in the meantime, if you’re interested in the course, it is not too late to sign up.

You can do so, by visiting Proverbs 31 Ministries.
