My 15 Minute Summer Evening Routine

Pink Stork Postpartum Detox Tea

A few nights ago, I began typing my new evening routine into my notes and decided that I would copy it into Google Docs and create a blog post with my notes. Who knows? There may be a lovely woman out there looking for a handful of tips on a quick evening routine such as mine.

So, let’s get into it.

Aside from my evening shower and journaling alongside the current book I’m reading, I’ve incorporated some special pampering to end my day. In about 15 minutes, I can thoroughly and quickly heat the kettle to make my bedtime tea, adhere to my teeth whitening strips, and apply my foot detox pads.

As my teeth are whitening, I make my tea and remove the strips once my tea has cooled. In the midst of that my foot pads have been adhered and I’ve put on my cozy bedtime footies.

In addition to giving myself some additional pampering, I’m also on a mission to use the things I have. We’ve accumulated many things that I have yet to enjoy fully. Some of those things include several boxes of herbal teas such as the Yogi Bedtime Tea that I started and then dropped.

Well, now I’m picking up where I left off and finishing them. Most of them are by the brand Yogi which I greatly enjoy, but I also have some Pink Stork post-natal tea that I’m finishing from Amazon.

The Pink Stork Postpartum Detox Tea is my second bag. Overall, it helped a great deal during my postpartum phase after having my daughter. I enjoyed the turmeric taste but still added a bit of honey. Whenever I used the tea, my system would be flushed the next day and my skin grew consistently clear. With the final few sachets, I’m hoping for the same results.

Unfortunately, the Pink Stork Postpartum Detox Tea is currently unavailable, but I have found that the Yogi Tumeric and Ginger is a nice alternative in terms of taste. However, Pink Stork has a similar tea, Pink Stork Postpartum Uplift Mood Support Tea which has as many positive reviews as the other.

Regardless of what tea you prefer, I found it to be a great way to end my evening and sprinkle in some health and beauty benefits along the way.

Aside from tea, I have two boxes of teeth-whitening strips that should be used up by the end of the year. Of course, I could wait and space things out, but I’d rather not. I want to use them now, especially since we take a boatload of photos during the summer months.

But, let’s talk about this.

I have used a variety of brands when it comes to teeth whitening strips. I have always steered toward the name brands, but over the past few months, my mother gifted me with a few boxes of CVSHealth Supreme Whitening Wraps. I was so grateful because I told her that I wanted to whiten my teeth and she gifted me these a few weeks later.

Since I had only used name-brand ones, I wasn’t sure how these were going to hold up. And, let me tell you something! These work better than any other teeth-whitening strips that I have used. So, from here on out, these will probably be the only teeth-whitening strips that I use moving forward – unless I am gifted something else to explore.

Each box comes with a 10-day treatment. I use them for a few days at a time and take a break. I reapply them as needed. If you have not whitened your teeth in quite a while, go ahead and make it your goal to complete the 10-day treatment fully.

Lastly, I have been using a pack of Dr. Entre’s Foot Pads that I ordered from Amazon in 2022. I used them once, put them away, and then forgot about them. Recently, while cleaning up, I found them in my drawer and decided to give them another shot.

For the past few nights, I have been applying them and sleeping with them overnight. In the morning, I remove them and wash my feet to remove the gunk and stickiness that occurs from the adhesive.

In addition to giving them another go, I also did a little research and found some interesting blog reviews on various brands of foot detox pads. From every review, I gathered that people were unsure if these even worked.

As for myself, I too, have no idea. But, if these are working, thank you foot detox pads for removing nasty toxins from my body.

In addition to the blog reviews, I stumbled upon an Epsom salt foot detox bath that can be made at home. From what I have read, the bath color after 30 minutes will tell you what toxins have been released from your body.

However, as I’m writing this, I have not made the Epsom salt detox bath, but intend to at some point over the next weekend. In the meantime, I’ll continue using these detox pads until they have been used up.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I am so grateful to have incorporated these quick evening tasks into my routine. Doing so makes me feel so good and comforted going to bed. I also feel as if I invested quality time and effort into myself.
