With the hustle and bustle of everyday work life, it’s easy to forget to create and admire the beautiful things around us. So, if you are working in a drab and unmotivating office space, today’s post is your sign to update your workspace. Consider things that are beautiful and inspiring.
With this in mind, I’m sharing some beautiful and inspiring things that I have in my office. This won’t be a full-on office tour, because that just maybe a little boring. So, sit back, and enjoy the tips and the photos of some of my beautiful things.
Desk and Color Inspiration
I’m not going to lie here. There is nothing special about my office desk. It’s a very large work desk that allows me plenty of space to work and create. There are no bells and whistles, fun color combinations, or anything else.
Because of this, I’ve given my desk some color pops of pink with my pink keyboard and mouse, my personalized mug, some fun boxed post-it notes, and a small trinket tray – just to name a few. Additionally, I have a small pink Keurig on my desk where I can make my own coffee.
Delicious Coffee!
When I purchased the Keurig, I also purchased a pink mini fridge to match, but it didn’t seem to keep things cold. So, I returned that and opted for my son’s mini fridge. He’ll get it back soon, as I have finally found a beautiful pink that is sure to keep things cold. Having some colorful comforts makes the days seem a whole lot better.
I also have my manifestation box on the windowsill which was created in March. Every time that I look at it, it reminds me to visualize my manifestations coming true. In fact, one already has. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Feel free to read more about what a manifestation box is, right here on the blog.
Favorite Artwork
Aside from desk inspiration, I have some gorgeous artwork that I brought in from my past at-home office space. These two framed photos were found at TJ Maxx, Ross, and/or Homegoods if I’m not mistaken. They both speak to the work that I do and make for great artwork in the office.
Artwork can be anything that you choose that you enjoy. You can use frames or simply tape them or tack them on your walls or bulletin boards.
Books, Books, and More Books
Lastly, I have a new professional development library that I recently created courtesy of some funds from winning the Outstanding Staff of the Year award. It was such a great way to spend the money. I went to my Pinterest board of books and ordered as many professional development books as I could.
Now I have these to read when times or slow or when I’m moving through a specific chapter in work life. The miniature library has inspired others in the department to get them some of the books or related books. I’ve encouraged my assistant to take advantage of them and read them, as well.
