Affirmation Cards and Personal Development

In the past 30 days, I have listened to Ali Brown’s Top 10 Success Secrets for Entrepreneurial Women while organizing paperwork. I have watched several rare Napoleon Hill video clips at night while the boys were in bed. I have listen to the audio to Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness by Esther and Jerry Hicks while doing dishes.

And, just this week I read The Hero by Rhonda Byrne poolside.

Reading and listening to positive messages helps me to stay focused on personal and professional goals that I have. In addition to reading and listening, I keep a notebook with goals that I want to accomplish. I also keep my yearly vision board up on my bedroom wall and carry affirmation cards in my purse.

Affirmation Cards

My affirmation cards are “kind of a big deal”. Each index card has a handwritten message or goal of mine that I keep in a cute, pink index card holder.

Most nights before I go to bed, I read them over once or twice. When I have idle time or breaks, I get them out and read them a few times. And, I’ll tell you what, there is no better feeling in the world, than to write out a goal at the beginning of the month and randomly read through the cards to see that you have actually accomplished that goal!
If it weren’t for me doing this, I doubt I would be motivated to make necessary changes when needed or wanted in my life.

A few successes from the past 30 days have included:

  •      Getting the interview for a new position I am highly interested in at work.
  •      Getting my new truck with intentions on my old car selling by the weekend.
  •      My son had a cute, fun-filled, surfing luau birthday party!

None of this would have been possible had I not stayed positive and blended the use of “action and attraction”!
What do you do for personal development?

Cheers!
