Spring Cleaning and Decluttering with the Hoover DustChaser

This post is in partnership with Hoover.

For the past few, What I’m Doing Now updates, I’ve been talking so much about cleaning and decluttering. Especially now since winter is ending and spring will be arriving shortly.

In What I’m Doing Now 1.26.21 – Life in January, I shared a few cleaning tips that I found while searching Pinterest and YouTube. In that post, I shared how I made my cleaning products from essential oils, baking soda and dish detergent and easily cleaned the bathtub and shower, as well as the refrigerator.

In the week’s What I’m Doing Now 2.16.21, I shared how I was excited to get some more cleaning and decluttering done with the new Hoover DustChaser Cordless Mini?Hand Held Lightweight?Vacuum Cleaner that I recently purchased.

I explained that I was excited about the vacuum cleaner because it would allow me to get into some of the places that my bigger vacuum won’t reach. I concluded by saying that I would give you more of the details once I actually used it. Well, the time has come. I’ve used it multiple times – such as cleaning my office space and yes, it is powerful.

First Impressions

When I first opened the box, I was extremely excited because I didn’t need the instruction manual to put the Hoover vacuum cleaner together. It was really simply to just look at it and put it together.

Contents of the box include the Cordless DustChaser Hand Vacuum, ONEPWR 2.0 Ah battery, 2-in-1 Dusting & Crevice Tool, Upholstery Tool and Charger. It’s important to know that you should completely charge the battery prior to using it for the first time.

As I looked at the attachments, I grew even more excited because I knew these were the attachments that I needed but that I couldn’t verbalize exactly what they were called when looking for hand held vacuum cleaners.

This flat attachment is what I have been looking for specifically to clean my desk and bookcase in my office space, but also in the living room and my sons’ rooms where a lot of dust settles.

Captures 99.97% of Dust

The Hoover Dustchaser captures 99.97% of dust, pet dander and allergens down to 0.3 microns – which is good to know because both of my boys have seasonal allergies.

With the attachment off, I was able to clean the creases in the stairs that lead down to my office space. The stairs get pretty crappy because it’s hard to clean them with the larger vacuum cleaner that I have. With this model, I am able to get right into the creases and get the stairs clean.

Problem Solving

In addition to being able to clean smaller spaces, I am thankful to have a smaller, cordless vacuum cleaner now, so that my youngest son can clean his room. His bedroom is the smallest of all rooms and he has a lot of furniture and things in his room.

With the room being such a tight space, it makes it difficult for him to vacuum it. But, this solves our problem. Not only this, but it’s easy for him to work with. The Hoover DustChaser weighs  less than three pounds, which makes it easy for my 10 year old to use and store.

Lastly, with it being compact and cordless, I can use it in my SUV and save my quarters instead of feeding them to the vacuum cleaners at the car wash.

Final Thoughts

After spending some time cleaning with the Hoover DustChaser Cordless Mini?Hand Held Lightweight?Vacuum Cleaner, I know that I found what I was looking for to help me get our household cleaning under control.
