We’re Moving! Self Care After Moving

Throughout my seven years on this blog, we have moved a few times and it’s coming again. And, if you’ve ever moved, you know that moving can be a very stressful experience because there is so much that has to be done. Therefore it’s important to consider your self care once the move is complete. With this in mind, I have listed a few steps to take in regards to self care once your move is complete.

Select the Right Movers

As you begin to plan your move, be sure to select the right movers for the job. By doing so, you will remove a lot of stress from the task of moving. With the right movers, you won’t have to worry about straining yourself and possibly hurting yourself in the process.

As you are searching for the right moving company, choose a company who has  seasoned professionals with extensive experience in all types of moving services therefore everything that you have can be moved properly.

If you are looking for an example of an ideal moving company, check out Bekins Moving Solutions below.

Self Care After Moving

Once the move has taken place, it’s now time to relax and practice a little self care. But, what is self care? Self care is about creating a routine, and a life, which allows you to take the best care of your mind and body. And, although it sounds relatively easy, many of us have come to realize, it actually takes a lot of practice. With this in mind, here are a few ways to practice self care after moving.

Home Spa Day

A home spa day is one of the simplest and most effective ways to feel relaxed. I love an at home spa day. Spend the day trying out face masks, aromatherapy, or painting your nails, or anything that makes you feel pampered and chilled.

But, most importantly, focus on your feet, given the fact that you have been on them so much during the moving process. Foot care is important. Consider soaking your feet or taking a bath while adding a little sea salt to soothe tired and achy muscles and feet.

Gratitude

Gratitude is one of my most used hashtags on my Instagram account because I know just how important the practice of gratitude is.

Expressing gratitude is just about one of the simplest ways that you can improve your mental health. According to a study in Harvard Health, expressing gratitude can actually make you happier. So, take time, relax and be thankful for completing the move and enjoying your new beginnings.

Unwind with your Favorite Beverage

Lastly, you may want to simply choose to relax with your favorite glass of wine, or any beverage of your choice. If you enjoy wine, click here and consider some of Naked Winery’s new arrivals.

Final Thoughts

In summary, moving can be tough. But, you can do this, just make sure that you plan accordingly and practice a little self care afterwards. I know I will be.
