Happy November!
Whew! It has definitely been a year; and it’s still not over as the election is ahead of us. This week will be very interesting to American history. Hold on to your seats!
But enough about that.
Let’s talk about some things more cheerful.

November. Autumn Vibes. Kitchen Baskets
Yesterday was November 1st. Since I didn’t get around to decorating very much outside of the Halloween Kitchen Basket last month, I decided to be proactive and create one on November 1st. One that represents our gratitude and the season of autumn. I love it. I mean, I really do love it!
Here are a few photos, but I’ll make a separate post – if you would like. Just comment below and let me know.

In addition to this, I decided that this week, I would also decorate the kitchen and enjoy what we have left of fall. I am not rushing into the winter season and holidays.
And, just for the record, I am not judging those who have already put up their trees, I just won’t be putting ours up yet.
However, please don’t get it misunderstood, I am preparing for it. And, know that I am really excited because we want some joy and cheer in our lives like everyone else.

Home for the Holidays!
Speaking of the holidays. One of my blogger friends just announced that she bought her first home and is currently moving. She loves the holidays and can’t wait to be set up in her new home for Christmas! I’m super excited for her! What a great ending to such a strange year!
As for Christmas, we’ll be doing Christmas photos (in pajamas courtesy of Shinesty) right after Thanksgiving so that we can get them sent out on time this year. I’ve been a little late the past few years and always feel a bit guilty when I receive everyone else’s. This year, the plan is to be proactive.
I’m also pretty excited because I have a lot of new Christmas partnerships to share over the coming weeks. These coming posts will spark a ton of inspiration!

Merry Bells!
For example, if you are looking for some quality time around the Christmas Tree, Merry Bells, offers an 8-Note Handbell Set with 30 Christmas songs. Right now, they are out of handbells, however, you could still grab the Christmas Songs DVD and use your own bells.
And, just an FYI, you could grab them from the Dollar Tree for $1. And if you want to really hone in on some quality time, you could paint and decorate your bells together, and then use them the next day as you sing your Christmas songs.
Just, make sure that you download the PDF version of their bell charts, so that you can ring along!

Homeschool Field Trips
Lastly, I want to share a few homeschool field trips. One was physical, but the next will be virtual via Zoom with COVID running more rampant.
Last week, we took a trip over to the Indiana Medical History Museum in Indianapolis, IN. I first learned about it on Roadside America a few years back and planned to go in 2017 when we were doing our travels across the United States. Only it didn’t happen, until recently when it appeared as a field trip for my 9th grader.
So, I took the opportunity and scheduled the guided tour. It was very interesting and you shouldn’t go if you have young children or a weak stomach. I’ll leave that all right there.
Admission was affordable. The boys received a student discount and only paid $5, whereas my admission was $10. It was definitely a learning experience for history, mental illness, and life sciences. My hope to make more of a post on it sometime in the next week or so. I’ve already submitted a few tips to Roadside America which should be published soon.
But, for now, feel free to check out my Instagram post for a few more photos than what’s here in this post. There’s also somewhat graphic posts on Roadside America.
On the other hand, this coming Friday night, we will be doing a Zoom field trip on Atomic Advancements. We’ll all get cuddled up with some popcorn and watch and listen to what’s going on.
When we’re done, the boys will each complete a reflection on what they learned and explain how the information is useful.

Final Thoughts
Well, I think this about sums it up. As I mentioned, over the coming weeks, I’ll be bringing you a few new product reviews that would make great gift ideas!
