Another week has passed since I’ve made a What I’m Doing Now post, so I wanted to catch you up on some newness…. or at least some updates.
For starters, I received my most recent shipment from Femme Luxe this week, so I’ll be showing you those items in this post.

Faux Fireplace
Aside from that, we finally got an adorable little fireplace for the holidays. I’ve been wanting one but never got one until now – with the exception of me making a faux fireplace from a Pinterest DIY in 2016.
I was in love with that little faux fireplace! I made it with USPS boxes and a box of peel and stick tile. Super creative!
Faux Real
This two piece outfit from Femme Luxe is also very creative and is less than $20. The faux leather pants and the top come separately, but I paired them together for a complete look. It’s a fun weekend, running errands kind of look for me.

Lounging Around All Cozy
The next set from Femme Luxe is the Khaki Ribbed Belted Loungewear Set. Believe it or not, I actually have this set in two other colors because it’s so darn comfortable yet fashionable.
I will tell you now that I love wearing this set around the house because I can be cozy and lounge around, but also hop on my Zoom calls when it’s time and still look fashionable and presentable.
The bottoms have a skinny fit which makes them perfect for comfy house shoes or nice dress shoes to run out for errands. I also like the sleeves because it has a nice slit near the wrist which allows for your jewelry to be seen.
Date Nights & Dresses
Aside from lounging around when I’m not working from home, I’ve been planning some more at home date nights. Our last date night was an at home beer tasting.
But this time, I’m planning a cozy and classy date night with the fireplace lit and the record player playing while wearing this dress. It’s perfect for date night in, since we can’t dine out.
This dress is the Black One Shoulder Ruched Slinky Midi Dress – Savannah. I love the ruched dresses by Femme Luxe because they’re so comfortable. And, with us being home, I definitely want to be comfortable.
Right now, the plan is to play Adele’s 25. I love that album and have been playing it every Christmas on the record player for the past four years.
However, I’d love to have the Jackson’s Christmas album as well as one of Mariah Carey’s Christmas albums.
Christmas Organization & Inspiration
Lastly, while we’re on the topic of Christmas, I’ve been reading through an HGTV magazine that I picked up at the grocery store. It’s filled with Christmas inspiration and organization tips.
I’ve been all about getting organized and getting the house cleaned up as we enter the new year.
2020 took its toll on all of us and I am ready to let go of the old and bring in the new. You can’t sit around expecting newness if you’re still holding on to all of the gunk and clutter from the past, right?!
I would encourage everyone to spend some time throughout the final weeks of this year to clean out the 2020 energy and make space for new beginnings.
A few ideas include organizing your clothes, cabinets, closets and rooms. Buy a fresh notebook and journal your year in advance (scripting). Wipe down everything and sanitize. And, while you’re at it, why not light a fresh candle and buy some flowers.
Speaking of a new journal for the new year. I have a new journal review that you can expect in the coming week.
