9 – Habit Stacking

Okay, Mel! Thanks for the new term this morning. This morning I was listening to Mel Robbins and Lewis Howe and they were talking about manifesting a new life and what it takes. In that video, she introduced a “new to me” term called, habit stacking

Basically, it’s when you add a new habit to something you are already doing to make a better and more efficient routine. Okayyyyyy! 🙂

For example, if you journal every night, but haven’t been practicing gratitude, you could easily begin to add one page of gratitude at the end of your journaling every night. You would then be habit stacking!  I love this idea!

10 – Being a Lifestyle Creator is work!

In that same video that I just spoke about, Mel Robbins gave an example of how people want to be “Lifestyle Creators” because it looks cool, but they don’t realize the hard work that goes into it.

I literally cried this morning while driving to work when she talked about this because it is so true.

People look at the life of a creator and want to do it, but don’t realize how much work and effort that it takes. People don’t see and understand how you have to work when others are sleeping. Or, how you have to become resilient because you will get told “no” so many times.

I will literally send out a pitch letter to 10-20 companies and only get one “yes”. That’s the nature of the beast and you have to be ready for it. It’s not something that you decide to do and just wake up a success. It takes time, dedication, and work. But, in time, that work will pay off.

Final Thoughts

Well, there you have it. In three posts, I have shared 10 things that I have learned or relearned this week. With there being so many others that I want to share with you, I may make this a weekly or biweekly post. Hopefully, then I won’t have to make it three separate posts.

So, did you like this? What resonated with you most?
