If you’re a big movie fan, you’ll know just how important locations are to the success of a film. Some of the most famous movies in the world are built around central scenes set in some of the most stunning destinations around the world.
It’s a movie lover’s dream come true to go to some of these places that are the setting of their favorite movies or even the places where those movies are first dreamed up.
Below are three places that any movie buff absolutely has to visit.
Los Angeles
No list of great movie destinations would be complete without Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood, the place where movies are born.
There are so many amazing film related things to do in Los Angeles; the first stop on your tour should be the walk of fame. You can see some of the greatest actors of all time immortalized in star form along the walk.
Next, head over to the world-famous Chinese Theatre where you can find a totally unique movie-going experience on the largest IMAX screen in the world.
Another great attraction in Los Angeles is Universal Studios where you can see so many great rides and shows based on all of your favorite movies and get a real insight into the filmmaking process.

London
London has appeared in so many different films and in so many genres that every movie lover must have at least one favorite movie that’s set there.
The buildings in the city are so instantly recognizable that walking around the city feels like taking a tour through some of the most iconic scenes in movie history. So many classic movies like Four Weddings and A Funeral, Notting Hill, Harry Potter, and James Bond are set in London.

If you’re a big Harry Potter fan, there is a great tour of the Warner Brothers Studios filled with some great props from the films and exhibitions on how they were made. The new stage show is also playing at Victoria Park but you might struggle to get tickets.
Las Vegas
Las Vegas is often the setting for movies about high stakes gambling or crazy drunken antics. Iconic movies like Rainman or Casino used Las Vegas as their backdrop and there are also some great comedy classics like The Hangover that are set there as well.

There is also a great Marvel Avengers attraction for people that love the superhero franchise. If you want to spend a wild weekend living like a character in an over the top comedy movie or play acting as your favorite superhero, Las Vegas is the place to go.
