3 Things I Love About Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport

Well, I am definitely categorizing this post under Texas, but really it doesn’t count in my eyes.

I just got off of the airplane and finished up reading about becoming a digital nomad. But, now I’m sitting here in Au Bon Pain in the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport on a two hour layover waiting to connect to Las Vegas.

Hey, Vegas! Hey, Girl! I’ll see you soon!

Anywho, the layover waiting doesn’t bother me (especially after being on a nine hour delay on my last trip in Orlando).

So, this time, I came prepared with The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, my laptop, camera, and grabbed a delicious Caramel Macchiato from “the bakery cafe”.

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

If you have never been to this airport, I grabbed a few photos along the way because it’s HUGE. I mean many of the airports I have been in have been huge, so really it’s no big deal to me (as long as I have the time needed to navigate it).

Nevertheless, here are 3 Things I Love About Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport.

#1) The Skylink was clean.

I know this sounds crazy because all airport transportation should be clean, right? Wrong. All airport transportation is not created equal.

I will not call out any airports, but I will say the airport transportation from one I just used for travel to Disney World was a little yucky – to say the least.

It could have also been that the day was icky and raining from the beginning. I don’t know.

I just know that this one is clean, just as well as Orlando’s airport is clean. Some others are simply questionable.

#2) Au Bon Pain is (somewhat) affordable.

Did I just write that? I think I did.

A beautiful avocado chicken salad is like $10. OMG! In the last airport I was in… I swear a bag of Cheez-Its were like $8. LOL. So, to be able to have a fresh and healthy meal that’s affordable (as in $10) is amazing!

#3) There is Instagrammable wall art – if that’s your thing.

As I was walking to my gate, I noticed so many big wall murals and wall art.

Totally #Selfie and #InstagramWorthy.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a tripod with me on this solo trip, and I be damn if I ask a stranger to get a photo of me inside of McDonald’s lounge area with the wall art. LOL. I’m probably a little too old to be doing that.

But, who knows. When I walk back passed, I may just do it. We’ll see.

Final Thoughts

Although, I have only spent a few hours here, I was quickly able to find 3 Things I Love About Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport including the clean SkyLink, affordable food options, and Instagramable wall art.

Well, I’m headed to Vegas, but if you are staying here in Texas, why not check out The 5 Best Resorts in Texas or check out a few Las Vegas posts below?!
