4 Tips on How to Create and Maintain a Successful Travel Platform

Recently, I celebrated reaching over 100 posts on NewsBreak and over 800 posts on Just Brennon Blog. Most of the content written and shared is travel-related.

With that in mind, I want to share, How to Create and Maintain a Successful Travel Platform.

For starters, if there is anything that you want to do in life, now is the time. With the internet and modern technology, we have the ability to create the type of jobs that we want to do.

So, if having a travel platform is something that you have an interest in, here are a few ways to create it and maintain it.

Create a Platform

To begin, you want to create a platform to share your love of travel. Whether it’s a personal blog, or a larger platform such as NewsBreak.

If you are choosing a personal blog, WordPress is a nice place to start. But, you will need to learn a few things such as themes, hosting, etc. A simple Google search will give you all of the information to help you get started.

If you are choosing to write on NewsBreak, it is set up for you. You can join NewsBreak’s Creator Platform using my referral link now.

Start Writing Consistently

Once you have chosen the platform that you will use (and get it all set up), you need to start writing consistently and make it a habit.

As you begin, you may want to start with places you know really well. Share helpful information that your ideal audience may want to read. You want your writing and photos to inspire them to experience what you are sharing.

Check out Analogcc.com/ for interesting disposable camera fun that will help you be more unique and stand out.

Sharing information that you know well and local, helps you to become a subject matter expert (SME) in your niche. So, keep the content coming.

Whenever you visit somewhere new, keep notes along the way to ensure that you create an experience through your writing for the reader.

When you are writing, be sure to share valuable tips from your experience.

As an example, if you are in Texas and get to experience a great axe throwing spot, share that they have the best axe throwing and share additional tips for a successful and fun experience.

Another example would be if you get the opportunity to stay at an Orlando Resorts Rental while visiting Disney, be sure to share with your readers why you chose the resort and if you would recommend it. Sharing this kind of information is valuable and really helps to build your readership.

Lastly, be sure that you are proofreading and editing your writing because you want to produce quality and professional content. If your writing is filled with grammatical errors or hard to read, it’s likely that people will not want to read your writing.

Work On The SEO

As you begin to get the hang of your own personal writing style, start to pay attention to SEO or search engine optimization. SEO is the practice of literally getting your site ranked higher on search engines. When people Google certain words or phrases, you’ll want them to see your site on the first page.

The way you do this is by continually posting good, relevant content.

Additionally, you should also have links that are connected to good, searchable keywords. Instead of using a phrase such as “click here”, make it a keyword or phrase from your topic.

Upskill Yourself

Finally, if you want to be great at what you do, travel writing in this case, be sure that you are investing in yourself. Take classes, online courses, webinars, and/or read books to become better. Doing these things will give you inspiration, help you learn new words and concepts, etc.

In fact, I just finished a Udemy course on Travel Writing and a Trendimi course of Image and Beauty.
