I’m beginning to see the finish line! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Week 33 was filled with unexpected baby gifts and a lot of love, sprinkled with a lot of pelvic pain – until I got into the pool. But, I won’t bore you with the chattering about the pain.
Instead, I want to focus on the unexpected baby gifts, arranging the baby’s area, the beautiful baby shower at work, and my last centering pregnancy class. Not to mention, I made it to the pool for some much-needed exercise and also visited L & A Family Farms.
Unexpected Baby Gifts!
So, let’s jump into some unexpected blessings! While at work, just doing my job, I had two unexpected baby gifts arrive. The first one was from a colleague who came in for an appointment. As she walked in for her appointment, she was carrying two large gift bags filled with baby items. I was in awe and almost cried.
Items included a big box of diapers, wipes, formula, clothes, baby powder, baby oil, blankets, and a baby bathing set. It was so generous.
The day after that, I received a chat message that there was something for me at the front desk. Instead of going up to get it, our assistant came back and brought me the bag. It was a beautiful gift bag with two packs of beautiful and soft onesies in two different sizes.
Ohh, how I appreciate the various sizes. And, they are so soft. I can’t wait to dress our little girl in these!
Brennon’s Baby Shower Bonanza: At Work!
Speaking of gifts. Our department hosted a beautiful baby shower at work that followed our monthly staff potluck. I’m continuously grateful for the support that I have in my position. For our potluck, we enjoyed a delicious Mexican feast and during the baby shower, we enjoyed a delicious strawberries and cream bundt cake. It was so delicious and moist with the most delicious frosting on top.
The room was decorated in pink, of course, and almost everyone from our department stopped by, even the guys. We received so many amazing gifts for the baby and even some spa things for me. We are completely grateful for the gifts and I am in awe of the support that I have at work.
Exercise in the Pool
Towards the end of the week, my son and I headed to the pool. I am so glad that we did. Not only did we get to spend some one-on-one time together, but I was able to exercise my body, something which I have not been doing much of.
Thankfully, I have maintained my weight and have been having a belly-only pregnancy for the most part by just being mindful of what I eat and making small adjustments such as continuing to take the stairs at work instead of the elevator, drinking more water than any other beverage, and trying to consume more fruits and vegetables than other food and snack options.
Visiting L & A Family Farms
Visiting L & A Family Farms sunflower maze has been on my list of things to do for about three years now and this past Saturday, we were finally able to experience the sunflower maze! Not only that, but we were also able to enjoy the new addition of the flower meadow this season.
You can read about the full experience on the blog or on Newsbreak.
Finished My Last Centering Pregnancy Class!
Lastly, I have completed my Centering Pregnancy class! Whoohoo! Some days I didn’t know if I would complete every single class, but I did. We ended up with a nice group of four expecting moms, with all of us having girls.
Now, that the class is over, I’ll be posting the blog post I wrote a few months ago. No worries, it will have all up-to-date information in it!
Final Thoughts
Well, there you have a peek into what was life during week 33. Cheers to week 34 – which I’ll post next week chatting about moving to two doctor visits per week as this pregnancy comes to an end, finally breaking down and ordering a maternity belt, reworking the hospital bag, cleaning the car, adding new seat covers, and installing the car seat.
