This comfy Venice Beach California Sweatshirt by Brooklyn Cloth had me thinking all about my first time in Venice Beach. It is inspired by the East Coast skate and surf scene and perfect for adventuring and exploring because it is not restricting. The fabric is a lightweight, hacci fabric blend which gives this sweatshirt a soft, comfortable feel in a stylish fit.
My First Time in Venice Beach
During my junior year in college, my high school boyfriend sent for me to spend some time in Los Angeles. At that particular time, I had never been on airplane and had not been to California as an adult – or, young adult, rather. But, there was no way this gal was leaving that offer on the table.
So, I gathered all my courage and hopped myself right on that plane to LA – singing nothing more than Tupac’s To Live and Die in LA. I’m so serious.
While there, we did some pretty cool things and went to some pretty cool places. For example, we rode his motorcycle to the Fox Hills Mall, got my name painted by an artist at Santa Monica Pier, and of course visited the beautiful Venice Beach.
I’ll dig up some old photos and share them on the blog later. But, anyway, if you’ve never been to Venice Beach know this…
Venice Beach
Santa Monica’s south side on the Pacific Coast Highway is Venice Beach. Venice Beach is a buzzing beach town in California known for the Venice Boardwalk but also filled with interesting shops, street performers, bars, food joints, and colorful murals. There’s also a skate park and Muscle Beach outdoor gym.
They have the BEST big slice pizza I have ever eaten! And, if you try to sneak photos of the street performers – just know they will come running at you with their tip bucket. So, be prepared.

In addition to this sweatshirt being comfy, it has a wide crew neck and loose fit that moves with your body to keep up with your lifestyle.
It’s great for casual wear, exercise, and lounging around the house. I wore mine all day Saturday. We went to my son’s basketball game and later had a family game night. It’s really cozy and available in regular sizes (S to XL). I’m wearing an XL. But, be sure to check the size chart for measurements to choose fit.
Final Thoughts
Well, until my next visit to Venice Beach, I am going to have to just enjoy wearing my Venice Beach sweatshirt.
