Last week, I had the opportunity to present at an annual conference in Arlington, Virginia, right on the border of Washington, DC. While I needed to be in professional attire for the event, I could travel comfortably without dressing up and decided upon my adidas FARM Rio tracksuit in Semi Pink Glow/Semi Solar Orange paired with a white crew neck t-shirt, a pair of pink semi-sheer ruffle adidas socks, and a pair of my very broken in pink and white womens running shoes.
Travel Styling Preparatation
As I started styling the tracksuit for travel, I considered which pair of glasses to wear. I tried on my everyday rimless frames, my pink plastic swirl frames, and my newest blush-colored cat-eye glasses. After trying on each pair and snapping a few photos, I ended up choosing the rimless pair to keep the focus on the outfit.

As I traveled throughout the day, I appreciated how easy it was to adjust my jacket—unzipping it to cool down when it got warm and zipping it up and layering on my coat as temperatures changed between connecting flights from Chicago to Arlington.
The jacket’s deep front pockets were especially handy, allowing me to keep my boarding pass and phone close and secure through the hustle and bustle of the airport while getting to my gate and connecting flight to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

Arriving at My Hotel Room | Polished and Comfortable
Although the track pants had pockets, I preferred using the jacket pockets for my important items. By the time I arrived at my hotel room, I still looked put together and felt comfortable. It was easy to unzip my jacket and slip off my track pants, which had an elastic waistband with a drawstring, ankle zips for a customizable fit, and 3-stripes for a sporty touch. The pants also featured a high waist, front pockets, ankle zips, and a tapered leg for a sleek look.

Versatility at it’s Finest
What I appreciated most about this outfit is its versatility. While I wore it for a day of travel, I also ran errands before heading out on my travels and could also wear it to the hotel’s fitness center to get a quick workout.
Final Thoughts
While the FARM Rio adidas tracksuit may not be the latest release, it’s an absolutely stunning and comfortable outfit for a travel day, especially in the airport when you’re dealing with unpredictable weather or moving between different temperatures.
