I just wanted to quickly grace your inbox and this blog with all things “D”! Dinosaurs, Digit, and our Dimes to Disney May update.
For starters, as in previous months, we are still collecting our dimes rather slowly and have started including all of our leftover change because we all agreed, we simply weren’t moving fast enough with just dimes.
The boys even questioned our trip a few weeks back by asking, “Are we really going to make it in September?” The answer is, “yes”. But, how?
In addition to saving physical dimes and other change, I have started incorporating Digit. We are at about $200 in physical change and about $40 in digital cash. But, we are making strides.
Dimes to Disney with Digit
As I mentioned in an April post, what I have realized on this journey is that the reason it is so challenging to save dimes is because we rarely use cash! So, in April, I signed up for Digit.
Digit has been withdrawing small amounts from my checking account and putting it in our two accounts set aside for Disney. Also, since Digit withdraws such small amounts, I took things another step forward by contributing my own amount this past week.
Every little bit helps get us closers to Disney, especially DinoLand USA.
What is DinoLand USA?
DinoLand USA is a Disney Animal Kingdom Theme Park which includes everything imaginable for dinosaur lovers (like us). Not only is it a journey back in time, but it’s fun with a completely different feel from the rest of Animal Kingdom.
Attractions include a new musical show, a 50-foot tall skeleton of a Brachiosaurus that spans the “OldenGate Bridge” and “The Boneyard” – just to name a few.
