How to Prevent and Get Rid of Stained Teeth + Smile Brilliant Giveaway

I can’t believe this. One more post and this Oral Health Series comes to an end. It’s been great to spend time over the summer getting my oral health together. If you haven’t been following along, I would encourage you to check out the six post series for practical tips on caring for your oral health.

Now with that out of the way, let’s chat a bit in this post about preventing and getting rid of stained teeth. This is important for me to cover because stained teeth can really leave us feeling bad about ourselves. So much so that we begin choosing to hide ourselves from the world and not show up as our best selves or how we used to.

A prime example that I want to share about is my cousin. He is a handsome man, but he hasn’t cared for his teeth the way he should have been over the years. Now, his teeth are very oddly discolored. So much so that everytime he attempts to smile, he puts his hand over his mouth. It bothers him so much that this has become his first reaction to his own laughing and smiling.

In addition to hiding your laughs and smiles when your teeth are stained, you are likely to fall into depression, stress and anxiety. And, no one wants to deal with that. So, be sure and practice self-care and prevention to prevent your teeth from staining and yellowing .

Here’s What You Can Do

Your teeth will look yellower and duller than they need to if the enamel has been weakened or if it has eroded over time. To strengthen your teeth’s enamel you need to use a good, well-recommended toothpaste and toothbrush, and also avoid harmful foods and beverages that are linked to stained teeth, such as coffee and tea.

Cut Down On The Coffee And Tea

As much as l love some coffee and tea, sometimes, I have to cut back as a way to prevent any discoloring. Coffee and tea may be a staple to your day, but did you know that they can be staining your beautiful teeth

Daily drinking of coffee, tea or both could be discoloring your teeth and making them appear darker than they are. So, be proactive and limit your consumption of these beverages which will ultimately be  beneficial to your overall health, your skin and your lifestyle.

Invest in Oral health Products and Change Your Habits

As a way to correct any discoloration and change your habits moving forward, one way to accomplish this would be to invest in proper and affordable at-home products such as a teeth whitening kit, electric toothbrush, and/or water flosser. Smile Brilliant offers each of them.

If you are unfamiliar with teeth whitening systems, over time with consistent use they will lift the shade of your teeth and will make them feel and look a lot healthier.

Final Thoughts

Therefore by taking control of your oral health, investing in the right products and changing your oral hygiene habits you’ll begin improving your overall health and self-esteem.
