My 8 Favorite Skincare Products for Winter

We all know that the frigid winter weather causes the skin of many to crack and flake and mine is no exception. With this in mind, I want to share eight of my favorite skincare products (with many of them being vegan) that are juicy and delicious and are keeping my winter skin nourished.

1 – Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Night Cream

First, I must admit. Having a night cream such as Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Night Cream is a must. This newly upgraded facial moisturizer works with the skin’s nighttime renewal mode to help visibly recover from the day’s winter weather exposure for a rested and much brighter look.

2 – Mediheal Collagen Ampoule Toning Pads

Another way that I keep my skin looking bright is by routinely using a toning pad to help prep my skin to absorb the moisturizer or oil that I will be applying next. If you are not a fan of pouring your toner onto a cotton ball or cotton pad, I would highly recommend these Mediheal Collagen Ampoule Toning Pads made of vegan fibers. They come in square containers with square-shaped pads ready to be used for morning and night.

3 – NOW Sweeet Almond Oil

After toning (particularly my face), I apply my moisturizer which is typically a lotion, however during the winter NOW Sweet Almond Oil has become a favorite. Its rich moisturizing properties help combat the harsh effects of cold weather on not only my skin but my one-year-old daughter’s skin, as well.

If you are unfamiliar with Now oils, they are 100% pure unscented moisturizing oils that easily absorb into the skin making them an ideal choice for providing a protective barrier against the winter elements.

4 and 5 – B-PURE and NCLA Cuticle Oil and Nail Strengthener

Next in line is my variety of cuticle oil and nail strengtheners. The two that I have been using the most lately include the B-PURE Cuticle Oil and Nail Strengthener and NCLA So Rich Cuticle Oil Treatment in “Love Potion” which I received in a monthly beauty subscription box.

The B-PURE Cuticle Oil and Nail Strengthener are a rare and affordable find from Dollar Tree that works surprisingly well. So much, so that I went back and picked up a few to have in stock.

At a bit of a higher price point is the NCLA So Rich Cuticle Oil Treatment which is

cruelty-free and vegan. Both of these cuticle oil and nail strengthners have been fantastic in keeping my nails and toenails strong, looking clean, soft, and well nourished.

6 – Sheet Masks! Sheet Masks! Sheet Masks!

My next favorites are not from one particular brand. Instead, I appreciate a variety of sheet masks because you can buy them almost anywhere and tailor them to your specific skin care needs and beauty routines. As an example, if you want a sheet mask for acne or brightening, you can choose that.

Regardless of which sheet mask you choose, they are beneficial to stock in your beauty toolbox for the winter weather. A great sheet mask will provide intense hydration and assist in sealing in moisture while the weather is cold. Furthermore, many sheet masks contain nourishing ingredients that can soothe and rejuvenate the skin, tackling flakiness and dullness.

7 – Grace & Stella Moisturizing Pink Eye Masks

Speaking of rejuvenating the skin, don’t forget about under the eyes. My go-to under-eye masks for the past six months have been the Grace & Stella Moisturizing Pink Eye Masks. Each box comes with 24 pairs.

According to Grace & Stella, these “pink eye masks were carefully formulated to target the appearance of saggy, wrinkly under-eye skin. They work to reduce puffiness and the appearance of dark circles, especially when kept cold. It’s time for a wake-up call”.

While I am grateful that these masks are formulated to target the appearance of saggy skin, I appreciate even more that the color of these beauties are pink. I just love the color pink!

8 – Tree Hut Watermelon Foaming Gel Body Wash (Hydrate + Glow)

My final favorite product during the winter months is the Tree Hut Watermelon Foaming Gel Body Wash (Hydrate + Glow). I picked this up at Ulta Beauty while doing some holiday shopping and fell in love with it. It is now a part of my everyday shower routine and smells absolutely delicious! It is so foamy and hydrating and is made with Tree Hut’s hydrating oil complex, shea butter, watermelon, vegan collagen, and niacinamide.

Final Thoughts

As the frigid winter weather continues, consider taking some time to experiment with skincare products that work well for your personal skincare needs and routines. Grab ideas from others, but ultimately choose the products that work for you and your lifestyle.
