Quarter 2 brought about strong emotions in my relationships with others. For example, my great aunt passed away, and attending the events with the family was simply heartbreaking. The following month, my boys were promoted and graduated, which were sure signs that they were getting older and becoming young men. Lastly, June brought about some much-needed fun, travel, and relaxation.
Now, without further adieu, let’s scroll through some highlights and lived experiences of Quarter 2 in 2024.
Don’t forget to check out Quarter 1.
April 2024
- In late March, we received word that our aunt had passed, so we headed to New York on a four-day excursion stopping at Cayuga Valley National Park and the Troll Hole Museum. I do plan to share more photos from the Troll Hole Museum in a dedicated post in the blog soon.
- Outside of that, we spent a considerable amount of time starting a toddler garden and giving the patio a beautiful makeover which is all documented on TikTok.
- Partnerships included collaborating with Paint with Number on TikTok and entering an amazing year-long partnership with adidas. What an amazing partnership! Thank you, adidas!
May 2024
- In May, I was so grateful and relieved as both of my boys graduated and promoted. My oldest son graduated high school and my youngest son was promoted from 8th grade to high school.
- Later in the month, my daughter and I took a day trip to Indiana Dunes National Park for the first time using my national park pass and had a wonderful time.
- Partnerships include a host of Amazon product reviews.
June 2024
- In June, my son started his apprenticeship summer program at the University which made me one proud mama. But, it also brought about a two-week (much-needed) vacation. On one portion of the trip, I took two of my children on a four-day excursion around Lake Michigan in an attempt to complete the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. On another portion of the vacation, we successfully navigated a quick weekend getaway to Florida.
- A few partnerships during the month included adidas and Fatty Meat Sticks.
Final Thoughts
Thinking back, the first six months of the year were filled with adventure and travel. At the end of the year, not so much. But, really it’s because my son is currently in Costa Rica on a study abroad trip which did cost a bit more than I expected (which is totally fine) because I genuinely wanted him to have this experience.
Each day he has been sending me photos and videos of some of the most amazing experiences and can’t be happier. I think it would be a fun idea to interview him for the blog and create a post based on his interview and photos. What do you think?
