In July, I made a list of personal goals for a Smash Blog entry. Today, I had some free time and decided to revisit those short term goals to see how far I have come. Well, let’s see!
Personal Goals – Short Term
Family/Spiritual
· Boys and I are happy and healthy. – We are!
· Happy Healthy Relationship – No comment.
· Meditate and pray daily. – Gets done.
· Avoid drama and unhealthy situations. – Absolutely.
· Spend quality time with friends and family. – Just had a Girls Night In!
Home
· Get storage cleaned out by July 31st. – Done!
· New bedroom sets by August 31st. – Done!
· Clean, Peaceful, Comfortable and Beautiful Apartment – Absolutely.
Finances
· Increase income (+20,000/year) – Welllllllll…let’s give that some time.
· Save more & spend less. – Ha!
Lifestyle/Health
· Lose 30 pounds and tone body by September 30th. – Ummmm. No.
· Exercise 3-5 times per week. – It’s all over the place. Sometimes once per week, other times five times per week. It just depends.
· Eat healthy, drink water and take vitamins daily. – Doing alright.
· Love my body and feel great in whatever I wear. – Doing alright.
· Paris (2015) – Still waiting.
· Take swimming lessons with boys. – Still waiting. Right now, we are busy with soccer.
· China Tea Set – Still waiting.
· Floral Arrangement & Sommelier Classes – Still waiting.
· Amazing Wardrobe! – In progress.
Career/Education
· Be successful in current position at work. Arrive on time, dress professionally, be kind, learn, assist and listen. – Doing well.
· Secure a part-time, online teaching position. – A million apps with my name are out there everywhere.
· Women’s Studies – Book List or Course – I have done absolutely nothing with this!
· Upgrade blog to being more professional. – Yes! I had to leave that black background behind.
Service
· Give students my undivided attention and help them as much possible during advisement sessions. – Yes.
· Join the NWSA – National Women’s Studies Association by August 1st. – I did not do this YET, however, I did join the American Association of Women in Community Colleges.
