Can you believe that today is October 1st? Welcome cooler weather, pumpkin spice, and all things warm and cozy. While I love me some summer weather, I especially love the autumn season. But, before we walk into this new season, let’s do a recap of what this month was about.
Beginning with the End in Mind
For starters, during the first week of September, I journaled out what I wanted the month of September to look like. In my journal, I wrote that we remained happy, healthy, and safe. I specifically wanted to lose 20 pounds through mindful eating, exercising, and taking my supplements.
While I did exercise, watched my eating, and took my supplements, I did not lose 20 pounds. Did I lose some weight? Yes, I just don’t know how much because I never even weighed.
For the month of October, I plan to continue being mindful, taking my supplements, drinking my tea and water, and exercising. I’m not focused on a specific amount of weight loss. I just want to work toward being healthier, happier, and more fit.
I wrote that I wanted the boys to continue with sports (basketball and football). Those sports have not worked out for us. So, they will begin indoor soccer in a few weeks. And, then circle back around to basketball as a winter sport beginning in January.
As for work, our positions are going well, but my time with NewsBreak has come to an end. Instead of the primary focus being on NewsBreak, I’m bringing it back around to my own blog.
There’s a lot that I want to cover over this next quarter and I’m excited about bringing some solutions to some of the questions that I’ve been asked recently. I’m excited about some new and continued partnerships, as well as some new travel ideas.
Lastly, I wrote that I wanted to save a specific amount of money. I did not save that amount, but I did save. I’m not disappointed in anything. Everything has worked out well and I am grateful for that.
Weekend Wardrobe Capsules
Over the summer, I had fun experimenting with some “new to me” summer fashions so I wanted to post those and share them. I took a bit of a pause doing that because life got very busy, especially with the move. Once we were moved, I was grateful to partner with Femme Luxe UK, again, which I’m pretty excited about!
So, a few weeks ago, I posted a Weekend Wardrobe Capsule in Rust from Femme Luxe. The colors weren’t a great match for me, but that’s okay. It was nice to try them out.
In a few days or so, I’ll be sharing a new Weekend Wardrobe Capsule in Pretty Pastels from Femme Luxe, along with a Weekend Jumpsuit Collection from Fashion Nova. I’m super excited about these and can’t wait to share.
Weekend Camping to Garden of the Gods
I actually wore a lot of Femme Luxe on our camping trip. Yes, my younger brother and I finally spent the weekend camping at Garden of the Gods for his birthday. I have been wanting to visit there for so long, and am so grateful that we were finally able to do so.
If you even plan on visiting, please check out my post, camping at Garden of the Gods? 3 Mistakes I Made where I share the three mistakes I made and how you can avoid them.
Secret Santa Questionnaires on Etsy
Lastly, I finally spent some time and converted all of the Secret Santa Questionnaires to Etsy downloads for only $2 each. Now I have my Etsy store up and running and plan to add some more digital downloads throughout this final quarter of the year.
Thoughts to Go!
Well, there you have it! A quick recap of what September was all about. I’m looking forward to October. A few pumpkin patches, a mermaid party with my nieces, handbag day, a few weekend wardrobe capsules, and finally getting my desk area put together and organized.
How was your September?
