As I wrote out an unpublished post for World UFO Day which was Sunday, July 2nd, I got excited by all of the fun that we could have over the weekend in regard to aliens and UFOs beginning with movie night and all the fun props we have from WeGlow. So, with just that thought, World UFO Day grew to become a whole lot more exciting!

Imagine donning a pair of fun light-up glasses that instantly transport you to another dimension. As the movie unfolds, the glasses illuminate your surroundings with an otherworldly glow, adding an extra layer of excitement and immersing you in the extraterrestrial world of sci-fi. Each flicker of light enhances the anticipation and leaves you feeling like a true cosmic explorer.
That’s exactly how our evening went.
A lot of fun. A lot of whimsy. A lot of laughter. In fact, let’s not forget that a movie night is not just about watching films; it’s about sharing laughter, creating memories, and forging deeper connections with those around you. In other words, quality time!
Unleashing Our Inner Extraterrestrial
To begin the night, I set up the dining room table with popcorn, alien green cups and a popcorn bowl, along with some Moon Pies and Moon Mist soda.
Ha! Moon Mist. Moon Pies.
Anywho, the shopping trip was not a long thought-out process. I simply ran into Dollar Tree and quickly scoured the aisles for neon green and/or anything related to aliens and UFOs.
Once the table was quickly set, we all got in some comfy pajamas and gathered up our blankets. We chose Independence Day for the evening, popped our popcorn, and put on our WeGlow glasses.
Other alien and UFO-themed films could include “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,”.

Unveiling a Galaxy Glowing of Fun
From our first experience with WeGlow on our most recent road trip to New York, I must say that the WeGlow bubble wands do not and did not disappoint. They added an extra layer of fun then and are the perfect accessories to accompany our intergalactic movie night now.
As we watched movies, the kids had a fun time with the glow sword and also let the bubbles flow from the bubble wand. My daughter loves this thing!
To add to that, we wore WeGlow’s light-up glasses in different colors and at different speeds which certainly sprinkled some playfulness into the evening with their ambient glow.
Capturing the UFO Movie Night Extravaganza
With this being completely out of the ordinary, I made sure to take photos. In fact, I pulled out my new candy pink Kodak M35 35mm Film Camera that I have been excited to use. We took some personal photos for the scrapbook and just a few for the blog.
So, you can imagine that I am certainly encouraging you to capture the magic by documenting your family’s moments in your light-up glasses and props ensuring that the memories of your UFO movie night will last a lifetime.
