Summer Fun with the adidas Semi-Solar Orange Flap Backpack

Even though we are only a few weeks into summer, it has already been full of sunshine, splash pads, and spontaneous day trips. Our days have been full of real life lived and enjoyed, not perfection. Whether I’m chasing my toddler at the park or packing snacks for a beach day, one item has been by my side through it all: my vibrant semi-solar orange flap backpack. Backpacks should certainly be your go-to summer bag.

Why I Chose the Semi-Solar Orange Flap Backpack

This spring, I started looking for my ideal summer go-to bag. I knew I wanted a functional bag, but also something that gave off a cheerful and sporty vibe. Additionally, I needed a bag that was large enough to carry our summer essentials such as sunscreen, keys, money, a towel, and perhaps a change of clothes or shoes for my daughter or I, depending on the activity.

With function being the first element of consideration, I knew that a backpack would be ideal. Being a mom to a toddler, I know I need my hands free to hold her hand and whatever else in that given moment, such as stuffed toys like Joy. So, struggling with any type of shoulder-only style bag or tote was out of the question.

The other consideration was deeply personal. I am often very polished for work, but I have been craving more relaxed attire, coupled with fun and colorful statement accessories, and the adidas semi-solar orange flap backpack has been it. Once it arrived, I couldn’t wait to start toting it around with us.

Real-Life Uses This Summer

So far this summer, we have taken this backpack on at least three different day trips, including the playground, the water park, coupled with a Route 66 excursion, and most recently, the beach. Each time, the contents are a bit different, but the backpack functions perfectly and always brings a pop of color and joy.

For example, when heading to the playground, a handful of items that I packed included water bottles, my 35 mm film camera, wipes, snacks, keys, cash, and ID. Although we were only going to the playground, having a few extra dollars is important because sometimes we are blessed with a little ’90s nostalgia, a visit from the ice cream truck.

On other occasions, such as heading to the water park and beach, our essentials change a bit and include a towel, sunscreen, a change of clothes, etc. Being able to put the backpack on my back allows my hands to be free to hold my daughter’s hand, but also to carry a few other things, such as her outdoor chair from the parking lot, into the entrance, and across the sand or water park.

Final Thoughts and Why It Works for Moms on the Go

As I continue to use the adidas semi solar orange flap backpack I can tell you with confidence that it is lightweight yet spacious, has comfortable straps, and is made of durable material. It is stylish enough to pair with your summer outfits and doesn’t scream “diaper bag,” but functions like one.

And, although the majority of my excursions with the backpack have been with my daughter, I have thoroughly enjoyed using this backpack alone when heading to the gym and on walks.

It has certainly lived up to the expectations that I had envisioned when looking for my ideal summer bag.  If you’re looking for a colorful, sporty, and practical backpack that can keep up with your summer adventures, this style of backpack may be worth checking out.
