Waffle Iron Day | Dollar Tree Plus $5 Breakfast Time Toy Set Review

Not only is there a National Waffle Day, but there’s also a National Waffle Iron Day

National Waffle Iron Day is celebrated on June 29 every year as a way to celebrate the invention of this amazing device that allows millions of Americans to enjoy their breakfast according to the National Day Calendar.

To commemorate the day, I’m sharing a fun review of the Children’s Breakfast Time Toy Food Play Sets, 13-Pc. from the Dollar Tree Plus section.

Before we jump into the review, let me give you a little background that led to this post.

First, I love waffles and prefer them over pancakes! Next, I was walking through Dollar Tree two months back with my mom and noticed the new Plus aisle. As I walked through, I fell in love with this Children’s Breakfast Time Toy Food Play Set.

I explained to my mom that I had to have this set because not only did I love it, but it would be a fun review to do with little Ms. Ma’am for a fun day or fun play date! And, what do you know? Here comes National Waffle Iron Day!

And, while I do want to write a review on using my Dash mini waffle maker, I thought it would be a whole lot more fun to partner with my daughter on this fun review!

So, without further ado, let’s jump into this review!

Children’s Breakfast Time Toy Food Play Sets, 13-Pc.

With many of us believing that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it makes sense to have fun toys that replicate breakfast meals, especially the ones that we love. With this cute 13-piece set, you get just that!

This 13-piece set comes fully equipped with a waffle maker, waffles, a whisk, two strawberries, a small plate, an egg, a mixing bowl, and a bottle of maple syrup.

All of the items are made from sturdy plastic and designed to be durable for extensive play.

I appreciate how many nice size and sturdy pieces come with this set for $5. This set is certainly better than the typical $1.25 toy items that come from Dollar Tree.

This set is larger and made of better quality. It reminds me more of a toy set that you would find at a Family Dollar or General Dollar for about $10 which to me is a great deal.

Not only is this set fun and attractive, but it’s an ideal way to educate and demonstrate to your little one how to use breakfast-time tools for foods that we enjoy.

Since this set is a rather nice quality, it would be great for playtime in not only homes but kindergartens, daycare centers, Sunday schools, etc.

National Waffle Iron Day

The waffle iron itself is cute and functions just like a real waffle iron. It’s cute to also have the mini waffles which go on and come off the waffle iron making this a cute way to celebrate National Waffle Iron Day.

This waffle iron is an ideal way to demonstrate to my daughter words like, “hot”. I can also show her how to fix her plate of waffles since she’s beginning to eat solid foods.

Additionally, I can teach her how to add a side of fruit to her waffles like these strawberries.

As a matter of fact, May was National Strawberry Month and we had an awesome time throughout the month incorporating strawberries into our daily routine.

Final Thoughts

In summary, National Waffle Iron Day provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate the invention of this wonderful breakfast device. Wouldn’t you agree?

This Children’s Breakfast Time Toy Food Play Set, 13-Pc. from Dollar Tree Plus showcases a fun and educational toy set that replicates yummy waffles really well. The set’s quality and size certainly exceeded my expectations for its price of $5.

I also appreciate the set’s inclusion of strawberries because it ties in well with National Strawberry Month, adding to the enjoyment and learning experience. So, whether it’s for home play or educational settings, this toy set provides a delightful way to engage children in imaginative play while teaching them about breakfast tools and healthy food choices.
