Things to Do for National Strawberry Month | Mommy & Me Edition

May is National Strawberry Month, which means it’s time to celebrate one of the sweetest and juiciest fruits around – strawberries! I love a good ol’ national month to celebrate! So, I have planned some of the most adorable things to do this month with my little girl.

If you are looking for ideas on how to celebrate National Strawberry Month, then you are in the right place! Below are six fun and tasty ways to enjoy this delicious berry with your little loves.

My hope is that you can enjoy National Strawberry Month, just as we are.

1 – Go Strawberry Picking

One of the signs that I would always see in my hometown was the Strawberry Acres sign. Year after year, I passed it, but never took the time to visit and explore. Now that I have moved away and have a little girl, I have decided that it is time to make our way back and enjoy a beautiful Saturday afternoon enjoying some quality time together and picking some strawberries.

To make the afternoon even more memorable, consider dressing in strawberry clothing, wearing strawberry jewelry, or carrying a strawberry canvas bag. Strawberry prints are really trending this year and I’m here for it!

In fact, earlier in the year, I purchased a strawberry-printed top online and purchased my little girl various strawberry-printed rompers, dresses, and outfits, along with sunglasses and necklaces. What a way to really rock strawberries during National Strawberry Month!

P.S. Some of the places that I shopped at were Old Navy, Walmart, Shein, Jessakae and Temu.

Once you’ve been to the strawberry farm, you are going to want to eat those strawberries. Below are some ways to enjoy them.

2 – Have a Strawberry Picnic

With all of the strawberries that you picked, why not head to a park for a fun day in the sun? You can focus on only enjoying strawberries or simply including them as a part of your picnic.

Want to make it even more fun, why not make the picnic a strawberry-themed picnic with strawberry decor? How fun! Temu, Shein, and various dollar stores have tons of fruit-themed decor that would be great to incorporate into a picnic.

3 – Make Strawberry Smoothies

I’m sure with all of the strawberries that were picked and brought home from the strawberry patch, you’ll have left-overs as we did. If you do, consider whipping up a batch of strawberry smoothies for a refreshing and healthy treat for everyone.

Simply, blend together fresh strawberries, yogurt, and a little bit of honey for sweetness. For mine (not my daughter’s), I used some of my Haelan Greens Powder for an extra boost. You can read more about that in the following blog post, Improving My Health with Haelan 951.

4 – Make Strawberry Shortcake

Another way to enjoy your strawberries is to make a classic strawberry shortcake! Who doesn’t love strawberry shortcakes?

Depending on how much time you want to invest you can either bake some sweet, fluffy biscuits or make a grocery run and buy some already made. For us, I prefer those that are already made. Next, use a strawberry slicer and slice up some fresh strawberries, and top with whipped cream. This is such an easy and delicious dessert to enjoy.

5 – Scrapbook Your Strawberry Fun

You can scrapbook all of your National Strawberry Month memories in a cute scrapbook using strawberry theme supplies such as washi tape and stickers. It’s a great memento that your daughter will have to look back on for years to come. Wouldn’t you agree?

6 – Wear Strawberry Themed Clothing

Lastly, don’t forget to make an ordinary day fun by wearing themed strawberry clothing! I know I mentioned it briefly earlier, but I think clothing deserves its own section. I found a darling strawberry top online and have found many strawberry outfits this season for my daughter!
