What I’m Doing Now 5.17.21 – Beauty and Skin Care + KISS USA Review

In my last, What I’m Doing Now post, I shared that life had definitely been different, given that I made intentional strides to practice more self-care, rest and take time off and away as needed.

In doing so, I’ve been able to reflect more on life, practice more gratitude and just relax.

During this time, I’ve been gifted with some of the most beautiful pampering and self-care gift bags. With these, I’ve also been able to sample a variety of beauty products that I probably would not have taken interest in otherwise.

As I am enjoying them and learning about the brands, it has sparked my interest in being an esthetician (again), even if it’s on a part-time basis. Skin care is so important.

Some of my favorite products so far have been the various facial masks, hand masks, feet masks, and under eye masks. They have come from brands such as Mary Kay, Miss Spa, Tree Hut and Burt’s Bees – just to name a few. I even tried at-home cuticle oil in addition to enjoying some new scented candles from various brands.

Red Berries & Peach Scented Candle

For example, I am in love with this Find Your Happy Place Summertime Sprinklers Scented Candle. Upon first glance, it gives me Bath & Body Works vibes, but really, it’s from Walmart. During my Indianapolis staycation a few weeks back, I burned it daily (all day). It lasted the entire week and smelled amazing. The scent is Red Berries & Peach. At some point this summer, I hope to find it again and purchase a new one.

Beauty Brand Collaborations

Aside from what has been gifted to me, I’ve recently partnered with some beauty and skin care brands which I am enjoying. Three brands and companies that I have recently partnered with include KISS USA, The Eczema Sample Store and Reviva Labs.

Since I will be posting separate reviews of the Eczema Sample Store and Reviva Labs, I won’t go into details here, but I will share a bit about KISS USA.

KISS USA

KISS USA sent over an exciting box which included the following products which can be found online at retailers such as Target or at the Amazon affiliate links below.

I have enjoyed all of the products especially the lashes – with the exception of the Kiss Salon Dip Color System Starter Kit. With this set, I think it is a matter of having some experience so that you get the best results.

With it being my first time using this kit and anything like it, I had a rough time knowing how much was enough of each product. As a result, one hand had a thin finish while the other had a thicker finish.

Have you had any experience with the new dip color sets?

Final Thoughts

Well, there you have a little bit on what’s been going on in terms of self-care, skin care and beauty.
