What I’m Doing Now: Acknowledging Burnout & Managing Cycle Pain with Mira Pro

Managing Cycle Pain with Mira Pro

I’ve really enjoyed keeping y’all posted on life with my What I’m Doing Now series. I love having a way to share all the different things that just may not make an entire blog post.

In recent posts, I’ve mentioned a few times that we lost our daughter in April. My water broke unexpectedly and I was urged to deliver for my own life and safety. Upon delivering, our sweet baby passed away. Those three days in the hospital felt like forever.

After going through everything, I wondered how my body would adjust and how much healing time I would need, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Relieving Physical Pain with Mira Pro

Physically, I was back to doing my daily activities and returning to work within two weeks. I also had a two week follow up during that time. And, right at six weeks, my cycle returned. After going through so much pain, I wasn’t ready to endure more, so I proactively chose Mira Pro.

If you’re unfamiliar with Mira Pro, it’s an immediate, drug-free solution to period pain. It’s easy to use and is just like my little muscle pain gadget. I simply stick it where I want it to be and relax. That’s it.

In short, the Mira Pro device uses clinically tested pulse therapy to block pain signals from reaching your brain while simultaneously stimulating the production of endorphins; your body’s natural pain killer. It’s been great to have while healing and getting my body back on track.

With all of this, plus work and daily life, I’m sure you can imagine that there’s stress involved. Because of this I’ve been working on relaxing more and enforcing boundaries. Whether you know it or not, this can be a hard thing to do.

Working with Burnout

To help hold myself accountable, I joined a book club at work. Another thing, I know. However, I joined because of the title of the book that was being read during the course of the summer book club.

The book we are reading is called Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Amelia Nagoski and Emily Nagoski. I’m going into Chapter 2 and it’s already been real and helpful.

I’m looking forward to being a part of this group over the next few weeks, as we discuss the many hats we wear as women, what burns us out and how we fix them or at least learn some healthy ways of coping.

Final Thoughts

I honestly feel like simply finding a way to deal with my period pains and stress using Mira Pro was a healthy step in the right direction.

One of the points that the book points out is that we can find relief in the small mundane tasks that we tend to overlook. Why? Because those tasks can help us grow stronger to get us to where we need to be.

With that in mind, I’m here to tell you that being proactive in finding a solution to something I have to deal with monthly is a big deal. Also, joining the book club, being vulnerable and discussing what has caused me burnout has also been helpful. While these are small steps, they are big things in the grand scheme of things.

Because I believe in Mira Pro, I’m leaving some info below on how you can save a few dollars. I don’t earn anything, it’s just a way of sharing what I’m using and to save you $ if you’re interested.
