If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the hunt for a good curling iron. My personal preferences include looking for one that heats up quickly, gives you gorgeous curls, and (most importantly) actually holds those curls throughout the day. Well, I recently gave the Eyesun Automatic Curling Iron a try, and I’m impressed.

First, let’s talk aesthetics. I ordered the gold one, and it’s beautiful in person. It gives a luxury feel without the hefty price tag. If gold isn’t your vibe, no worries. It also comes in rose gold and a deep blue. The sleek design and color options really make it feel like a little beauty treat every time I pull it out.
Temperature Precautions and Performance
Now let’s talk about precautions and performance. This curling iron gets hot, very hot. It goes all the way up to 428°F, which is great for thick or coarse hair, but I learned quickly that it was too hot for me.
My first attempt at 428°F left my curls feeling a bit too crisp for comfort. I lowered the temperature to 320°F, and that ended up being the sweet spot. The iron still curled beautifully but was gentler on my strands.
As you are curling your hair, be sure to section off small sections to work with. You will also need to have some length to your hair. I have a chin-length hair style and I felt comfortable curling the front of my hair; however, in the back, for the shorter hair, I chose to use a different curling iron made for shorter length hair.
End of Day Curls
By the end of the day, one thing that surprised me was how well my curls held up. I didn’t use any styling products such as hairsprays, and the curls lasted all day. That’s a major win in my book. Typically, my hair tends to fall flat by the afternoon, especially if I skip the extra product, so this was a pleasant surprise. I was moving through my usual busy day, dropping my daughter off at school, work, lunch errands, and end-of-day toddler-chasing, and all of my curls were still intact by the end of the evening.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I think this curling iron is a great find. It’s affordable, stylish, easy to use, and most importantly, it works. Just be careful with the heat settings. Start low and adjust as needed for your hair type. Whether you’re getting ready for a night out or just want to add a little volume and wave to your everyday look, this tool gets the job done.
