Create a Theme for Each Day – Jim Rhon

While riding to work every morning, I use the 30-minute ride to listen to a motivational video on YouTube. One that I’ve listened to multiple times is Strategies for Living a Better Life by Jim Rohn. In the video, one of the strategies that he offers for living a better life is to assign each day of the week a theme.

By focusing on a theme, you narrow down distractions throughout your day and achieve more than you typically would. With this strategy in mind, I created a week of themes this week to focus on in hopes of accomplishing more than I typically do. And, let me tell you. I do accomplish a  lot throughout the week.

In addition to creating a theme for each day, he also suggested making sure that you plan out your day, week, and a month prior to getting started so that you have a clear plan for your week. This strategy isn’t new to me, as I often create my week ahead of time.

With these strategies in mind, I have listed below my theme for each day of the coming week and what I plan to accomplish each day. I am also listing some suggestions, in case you would like to try this strategy yourself.

Monday – Health & Fitness

Today is Monday and my theme for the day is Health & Fitness. Last night, I planned that I would wake up early, go to the gym, and also prep my lunch for work. All of which I did. Check it out on Instagram.

For the remainder of the day, my plan is to stay disciplined and not kill the work that I have already put in today. This evening, the plan is to meal prep for the week, read a chapter from Body for Life, and hopefully, do a second exercise.

Body for Life is an older book that I had when I was in high school and have never let go of it. They used to have a Body for Life competition that I always said I would enter, but never did because the program was pretty difficult for me to keep up with at the time.

Although the 12-Week Body for Life program is no longer available, the Body for Life by Bill Phillips book can be purchased on Amazon. It has a lot of good information in it even if you aren’t able to complete the program.

Tuesday – Business & Finances

For Tuesday, my plan is to focus on all things business and finance. This includes drafting up a new 2022 business plan and listing out some accounts that need to be either created or revised.

As for my reading, my goal is to continue reading from the Prosperity Bible. I’ve been reading it since the summer. It’s a pretty fat book, so it’s going to take me a while to finish.

What’s crazy about this Prosperity Bible is that I had it on my 2019 Reading List and didn’t get the book until this year. Not only that, I didn’t realize that the book is a compilation of other books on success – until I got it.

So, in all actuality, I’ve already read some of the books that are housed within the Prosperity Bible such as As a Man Thinketh, the Master key System, and Think and Grow Rich, just to name a few.

These books can be found on Amazon or Walmart using the Walmart Holiday Gift Finder

Another thing that Jim Rhon suggests is to read all the books that you can.

He then goes on and speaks about how proud he is of his personal library. I can relate because I’ve worked very strategically on creating the library that I have today. It has some amazing books in there with some phenomenal information. These books have equipped me with the knowledge to make some major changes in my life for the better.

Wednesday – Fashion & Appearance

For Wednesday, my theme is Fashion & Appearance. My goal for Thursday is to, of course, get up and hit the gym, and dress nicely for the day. But also, I plan to use the evening to organize my wardrobe for the fall weather.

It’s sweater weather and boot season! And, my wardrobe needs to reflect that. It will also help to stay organized each day for work.

While I do have some fashion books, I would suggest reading. I won’t be using time for that. If anything, it will be using Pinterest as a guide to properly put together my fall work wardrobe

Thursday – Organization

Thursday’s theme is organization. There is a lot of organization that needs to take place in my life. For example, my purse needs to be cleaned out from random receipts and paper. Having a purse full of old receipts only blocks the money from coming. Let go of that stagnant energy and clean out your purse or wallet using Feng Shui.

There are also some boxes and totes still hanging out in many of the rooms that need to be unpacked from our big move. Therefore Thursday will be dedicated to organizing and appreciating what we have.

Friday – Living My Best Life

While there are some things that need to be taken care of on Friday, I plan to enjoy Friday and do some of the things that are on my Living My Best Life Pinterest Board.

The plans are in place and I can’t be more excited! Hop on over to the Inspiration for Living My Best Life Pinterest Board and guess what I’ll be doing on Friday! You can drop your guess in the comments!

Lastly, Saturday and Sunday are for self-care and self-love and planning out the next week.

Final Thoughts

Well, there you have it. A peek into what each theme for the day will be for this week. I’m not sure that I’ll create a blog post for each day, so follow me on Instagram to check out each day’s happenings!

What theme would you create for each day? Let me know in the comments.
