How I’m Addressing Our Christmas Cards This Year

Christmas Cards

Happy Almost December! Although I am not a winter weather kind of person, I absolutely adore the joy that the winter holidays such as Christmas, Kwanzaa and Winter Solstice bring. With that in mind, I’m sharing a peek into our holiday cards that are getting sent out next week.

Eeek! I’m so excited!

I did not want to be late this year on sending out our Christmas cards, so I planned early. Here’s how.

Learned Lettering & Calligraphy

First, I started learning lettering and calligraphy a while back, so that I could address the envelopes in a more creative way. In one of my post updates, I explained how I am not as good as I thought that I should be. Learning a new lettering and/or calligraphy proved to be challenging for me. Nevertheless, we are going with what I can do.

Purchased Cards Early

Next, I purchased holiday cards early. I chose a card that spoke to all the holidays. And, although I already purchased a box of cards, this doesn’t mean that we won’t be taking a family photo that I put on a photo card and send out sometime around Christmas, but before the New Year.

Photo cards are always a winner in my book. I think photo cards will also be much more appreciated this year with the pandemic since so many people can’t get to their loved ones. So being reminded of them with a photo card could make all the difference in the world.

Personalized Stamps from 904 Custom

Finally, I personalized some gorgeous return address stamps from 904 Custom to add some more pizazz to the envelopes, but also give me a break from my limited skills in lettering and calligraphy.

Christmas Cards

I’m telling you. This year, I’m on it!

From 904 Custom, I chose three different stamps to use for our envelopes. I chose the Happy Holidays Calligraphy Custom Holiday Address Stamp in the color pink for my blog. I send out cards at the end of the year to companies that I have partnered with.

For our family cards, I chose the self-inking Merry Everything Holiday Address Stamp. Again, this was to be able to acknowledge whatever holiday or season the recipient is celebrating.

Finally, I chose Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Craft Stamp with a red ink pad. I love this and will be stamping the backs of the envelope with this stamp.

All I’m missing is a little washi tape to bring it all together.

A Bit More on 904 Custom

Final Thoughts

Although life looks stranger than it has in years prior, we are still making the very best of it, so I’m excited to be able to create some lovely snail mail to send out to let our friends and family know we are still holding them dear to our hearts.
