The month of November has been way more relaxing than October. October was busy and stressful; so much so that my hair was dry and brittle and I gained weight. So, instead of posting a What I’m Doing Now update, I decided to give the update a spin and share 10 things that brought me joy this month.
#1 Daily Gratitude
The first thing that always brings me joy no matter how I’m feeling is daily gratitude. Many nights before I go to bed, I write a list of gratitude in my Notes on my phone. Some days I only note a few things, while other times I can easily add over 30 things in a day to be grateful for.
With this in mind, November brought so much to be grateful for, especially in terms of unexpected blessings.
#2 Unexpected Blessings
For example, I received three surprised mail packages this month from friends and family. In addition to this, my “Grandmother in Love” blessed us with a Monical’s gift card. So, one day this month when I was a bit tired and didn’t feel like cooking, we used the gift card and ordered in. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
And, how could I not mention this? To the wonderful parent who signed their child up for Time4Learning through my referral link. Thank you. Because of you, we were blessed with a complimentary month. Again, Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
#3 Framing Our Desired Home & Camper
The third thing that brought me joy this month was taking the time to frame some photos of my desired life which included our next home and camper. I’m not sure where we will be located, so it’s definitely giving me something to look forward to.
Sometimes I think of staying close, but other times, I think somewhere in Arizona or California. I get tempted to begin calling Los Angeles moving companies to check their rates in the event that we don’t stay close. But, then again, this website makes me consider Colorado, as well. Who knows? Only time will tell.
Anywho, aside from the house visualization, remember me talking about manifesting our camper after attending the Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Motor Show? If not, go back and check out the post, but really, it’s definitely time to start making “dreams come true” and manifest these things.
#4 Bringing Back Date Nights
Ouuueee. Date nights. Bringing back date nights has given me that school girl feeling. Remember being young and blushing when you saw your crush or boyfriend in school? Yep! That’s how date night makes me feel.
As a matter of fact, I’m blushing now.
#5 Creating Kitchen Occasion Bins
Another fun thing that has brought me joy is making kitchen occasion bins. This month, for the first time I made an Autumn Kitchen Occasion Bin. It was a big hit around the house. It cut down on dish washing and brought joy to the house overall. The bin made it fun and festive, so I decided to make one for December.
I actually just finished it prior to creating this post, so I’ll share a sneak peek of it now, but stay tuned sometime this week, the full post will be posted.
#6 Slowing Down
Number six is all about slowing down unapologetically. While I have had a lot of fun this month, I’ve still slowed down alot. Since October was so crazy for me, I decided to make sure that I took it easy during the month of November. Self care and relaxation was important to me.
I didn’t rush to get anything done. Instead, I slowed down and took my time to complete tasks. Doing this has made a world of difference in my daily routine(s).
#7 Getting Approved on News Break
Now this….this brings me joy and excitement!
One of my dear blogger friends, Barbara referred me to News Break. She has been a blogging God send. She’s so thoughtful and always includes me on blogging news that she finds out. I appreciate her so much!
Check out her blog and shop called The Wandering Cloud.
More about News Break…
After consideration, I was approved to begin my writing career there! Yayyy! So, if you’re into some different articles that aren’t on the blog, follow me on News Break or sign up to start your writing career now. Yes, it’s a paid gig.
#8 Watching a Movie
Now, let’s pause on the work for a bit and jump back to relaxation. Towards the end of my list of joy has been simply relaxing and watching a movie. Very rarely do I watch movies; so to curl up in my bed, relax and enjoy a good movie brought me not only relaxation, but joy, as well.
If you are curious about what movie I watched, here it is. I watched 2307: Winter’s Dream. It’s an odd Sci-Fri movie and I love me a good ol’ Sci-Fi movie.
#9 Two Femme Luxe Hauls
Speaking of relaxation, I’ve been able to complete two Femme Luxe hauls this month, mostly focused on comfortable and relaxing lounge wear. Because, let’s be honest here, we’re in the house.
Aside from just lounging around the house in lounge wear sets, I was able to test the waters in faux leather pants and a few midi dresses that are comfortable enough to wear around the house for date night. For December, I’m planning to share more of their loungewear sets, so stay tuned.
#10 Overall Health & Well-Being
Lastly, being overall healthy has brought me joy. I walk around in a constant state of gratitude because we all know that this pandemic has no names on it.
In addition to this, my aunt sent me a letter about a week or so ago. In that letter, she closed with a beautiful prayer for overall health and well-being amongst other things. This filled my heart with not only joy, but gratitude.
