A few weekends ago we celebrated Mother’s Day in a multitude of ways with one being having some family photos taken. Usually, I have my outfit all picked out and I know what I am wearing for most occasions; this time, however, I couldn’t get things figured out (mostly because of my recent weight gain).
At the very last moment on Saturday, I opted for a white dress from Old Navy that I have passed by and picked up at least three times over the past few weeks. So, when I couldn’t figure out what to wear, I decided that I needed to return to Old Navy and pick up that white dress.
The dress is now sold out online, but you may find a random one or two in stores. It’s called the Waist-Defined Puff-Sleeve Mini Poet Dress in white. The dress is bitter-sweet. I want to love it and hate it at the same time.

This gorgeous mini dress is the epitome of springtime chic – in some ways. However, the sleeves are sooo large that it makes me laugh. And, with me battling with my weight, it’s all just a bit odd. I felt as if I had a hundred layers of clothes on in this dress. It’s weird, but I still adore the dress.
Wearing this made for a comfortable photo session. I was able to move with ease and of course, it was easy to have a cohesive color theme.
