This summer has already come with its fair share of fun and stress. After all, life is all about balance, right? Well, if you have had some rough patches, like many of us have, check out my personal stash of beauty masks that I’ve been using this summer. In this post, I’m including three with the first one being a sheet mask.
I have really grown to love sheet masks over the past year. Prior to using sheet masks, I only used clay masks that came in a tube. As a matter of fact, I used the same mask for years. Probably since I was 16.
I don’t quite remember the name of it right now. What I do remember was that it was a green clay mask and it focused on blackheads and acne. At the time, I didn’t realize that they made beauty masks for various skin treatments.
For example, Prime Beauty Mart offers a variety of beauty masks; both sheet masks and in the tube. They range from firming face masks in the tubes all the way to Microbiome sheet masks.
Embracing Change
It wasn’t until these past few years that I started experimenting with sheet masks and fell in love. What I love about sheet masks for your face, as well as body overall is that it is a quick and simple way to treat yourself and pamper your skin.
Not only that, but it is a great way to relax and recharge. Not to mention you feel more beautiful and confident afterwards. Wouldn’t you agree?
With all of that being said, let’s jump right into three beauty masks that I’m loving this summer.
TONYMOLY I’m Real Pomegranate Mask Sheet for Elasticity
The first mask that I’m sharing is the TONYMOLY I’m Real Pomegranate Mask Sheet for Elasticity. After receiving some TONYMOLY masks a few months back for a virtual spa party, I knew I needed more in my life. It just so happens that I ran across a pack of 10 at T.J.Maxx a few weeks ago.
I purposely chose Elasticity. My high school friend and I took these with us to the water park a few weekends ago. After hours on the lazy river, we reclined in our pool chairs and enjoyed our facial masks. Talk about a relaxing afternoon.
Don’t worry about the fact that we looked crazy at the water park. Haha! You should try it!
Mary Kay Hydrogel Eye Patches
The next beauty masks that I have used came from a care package from my aunt. She sent me some Mary Kay products which included a pack of Mary Kay Hydrogel Eye Patches. I’ve used other eye patches over the past year, but I really enjoyed these and probably kept them on for longer than the recommended time.
The photos that I have are of bad quality. The room was dimly lit and I don’t think those photos are worth sharing.
However, here’s what I can tell you. The shimmery pink gels deliver a refreshing burst of hydration to your skin underneath your eyes, especially if you have puffy and tired eyes.
Although they did feel very good underneath my eyes, it is important to follow directions when using sheets and patches. If you must, use a timer and take them off when the time is up.
Freeman Plumping Lip Mask (Manuka Honey + Nectarine)
The final mask that I am sharing in this post is the Freeman Plumping Lip Mask (Manuka Honey + Nectarine).
I’ve used other Freeman Masks in the past. In fact, I did a cute little YouTube video on it last year during our stay-at-home order during COVID. I have since removed my YouTube channel but plan to bring it back sometime later this year.
This particular lip mask smells soooo delicious and is a pretty pink, shimmering lip mask. My lips feel so moisturized after I take them off.
However, the only thing that I don’t love about this mask, in particular, is that if you touch it once it is on your lip, it will tear quite easily. So once it is in place, leave it alone.
Final Thoughts
I believe one of the major reasons that I have fallen in love with beauty masks, particularly the ones that come in small, one-use packages, is because they offer a quick and usually inexpensive way of pampering and self-care. It’s almost like the lazy girls way of self-care.
I’ll be sharing more of my stash over the rest of the summer. In the meantime, what’s your favorite beauty mask?
