Pink Couch Travels – The Great Smoky Mountains

Yesterday got the best of me. I cried because it’s been three months of having the “Shelter in Place” and being home. But after having a good crying session to get it all out, I wrote out everything I was grateful for to put things into perspective.

I then got creative and decided that I would start a series of at home travels to recap some of my favorite places that we have traveled to.

With “Pink Couch Travels” I will be making videos from my pink couch! I’m super excited to share all this content, especially if you are new to the blog!

Doing this will not only bring me joy by recapping the adventures, but it also gives me a chance to share my tips so that you can start creating your own travel bucket list (free printable) once things begin to open up again.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

So, in this post, I want to journey back to March 2017 when we traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The boys and I drove from Illinois to Tennessee and then crossed over into North Carolina on our excursion through the Great Smoky Mountains.

As we began to journey our way through the mountains, it began to snow profusely. I was shocked by the weather and also very scared driving through all the twists and turns of the mountains. Nevertheless, we made it through and had a nice weekend there.

Below I am leaving the link to two past posts that gives major details of the trip, as well as helpful tips. I wish I would have known how much of a tourist trap the Great Smoky Mountains really is.
