I can’t believe that summer has come and is almost gone. This morning, I woke up and excitedly pulled out a fresh new dress that I had been waiting to wear; a Mint Green Jacquard Ruffle Hem Dress from Shein that I ordered online at the start of summer.
Now, I know, some people are not #TeamShein right now, and that’s okay. But, for those who are, I’ve found that the Simplee line is adorable. The brand’s clothing is in direct alignment with my goals of being elegant, feminine, and polished.

This dress immediately caught my eye while scrolling through the catalog of plus-size elegant dresses on Shein. I mean really! The color. The style. And, the meticulous attention to detail in every part of the garment screamed my name!

The stand collar and bishop sleeves contribute to its refined aesthetic, elevating the dress to a level of understated luxury along with the high waistline that flatters the figure which is huge considering the fact that I’ve not lost much weight since having my daughter almost a year ago.
Not having lost any weight has put me into a size 3X for this dress which is a really nice fit for the body that I am currently donning.
Furthermore, this dress cascades down to a knee-length flounce hem, exuding a sense of playfulness that attracted beautiful comments throughout the entire day.
Accessories | No Need to Overdo It!
With this dress being incredibly attractive on its own, there was no need to overdo it with accessories. I pulled my hair into a polished bun with a gold, pearl barret in the back, my Five Point Pearl 18K Gold Plated Earrings that I scored from Ettika, my everyday Women’s Philosopher – Rose Gold Watch, and a pair of neutral Anne Klein flats. Splendid! It was just enough.
Final Thoughts
While this dress would be ideal for formal occasions or upscale gatherings, I was confident enough to wear this dress to work. What a way to add femininity to this day!
Pockets are absent from the design, maintaining a sleek silhouette, and care should be done through gentle hand washing or professional dry cleaning.
