I wore my favorite watch by Park Lane Jewelry for many years. I was in love with it! It was dainty, gold and fit perfectly with each outfit that I wore. There was no need for changing watches. And, then one day while out shopping, I noticed I had lost it. Ever since then, it had been hard to find a watch that fit my style – until I was introduced to Nordgreen.
What is Nordgreen?
Nordgreen is a sustainable watch brand from Copenhagen, Denmark. They offer watches under 300 dollars. Its name, “Nordgreen” is a typical Danish surname, combined from the following two words: “Nord” and “Green”. The “Nord” is characteristic of their Nordic identity while the “Green” embodies their commitment to the environment.
The Nordgreen story began in 2017 with the brand’s partners Pascar Sivam and Vasilij Brandt. These two had the goal to build a brand that was actionable toward sustainable practices while creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional collection of designer timepieces.
Women’s Philosopher – Rose Gold Watch
While looking for a new watch, I scrolled the Nordgreen site and was pleased by the simple Scandinavian designs. It wasn’t long before I fell in love with the Women’s Philosopher – Rose Gold Watch.
The Philosopher – Rose Gold Mesh Watch in 36mm and comes with a two year warranty. It is very simple and chic. The mesh straps lay flat on my wrist against my skin and don’t bulk out – which is important to me in a watch. The buckle is square shaped, fits well with the strap and has “Nordgreen” engraved on the center of it.
I love this particular style because it fits my style and personality. In addition to this, the index is marked with a rose gold bar at each 5 minutes increment and black bars in between. Also, the dial itself is very eye-catching because the rose gold lays so well against the white background.
I’m also very happy that I don’t have to have links removed to create the perfect fit – like I did with my previous watch. Instead, a small tool is sent with your watch which allows you to adjust the clasp to your wrist to create the ideal fit. I appreciate this feature so much because it saves time and money.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Nordgreen Philosopher – Rose Gold Watch. Not only is it simple and chic and comes with the adjustment tool, but it also comes packaged in a sleek and modern, blue box which can be used to keep your watch protected while not in use. The dial also arrives with plastic film over it to keep it from being scratched.
